Better yet, don't drive if you dont want to follow the rules. People act like its there constitutional right to drive fast.

What is so wrong with putting the burden of paying for police protection on the backs of theVIOLATORS? BTW there is not a set amount that you must be over to get a mailed ticket but the guys that do ours have them set for 5 over in the school zones and about 15 over in other places. It really just depends on the location. The most dangerous road in our County gets the speed setting at 11 over but they often set up there just to deter and not have a officer sit with it. By TN law a officer must be watching the camera to mail citations. Chattanooga has some Perm-Mounted ones grandfathered in. These trailers and trucks will be obsolete in 2-4 yrs. new technology is a handheld LIDAR with a camera built in that takes you picture as your speeding away. Same principal but a lot more mobile and the officer holds it. The same as a officer witnessing you speed but he mails the ticket rather than stopping. http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2012/feb/22/hamilton-county-deputies-testing-speed-detector/

The best of the M&Ps, Glock messed up on the G30/36 IMHO. I really don't have any experience with shooting a 45c though.
-
Honestly, they are a good thing. The fines are cheaper($50) by law in TN and they don't go on a DMVR. The violator gets a ticket in the mail with several photos of there violation and a link they can go to so they can watch video of there offense. The video will show the speed the vehicle is traveling to a tenth of a mile per hour.

Wow Kevo, I remember us trying to meet up. I don't have the G32 any longer. I focused on going mostly all 40 in my Glocks. I still have some 357sig brass and some factory loads.
-
It looks like GT's has FL and Ga but ED's only has GA territory. Weird how there is two in GA.
-
I used to think that to until I heard GT Distributors and ED's Public Safety were in the top 20 in Glock sales in the country. I wonder if that excludes GA?

So, if your Church meets in a school for services...
Patton replied to Steelharp's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I've been really surprised to have not seen more random shootings at churches with the way some have far out believes. When i was a kid I witnessed a really bad domestic assault at church. If I carry anywhere it will be at church. If there were others carried there that I highly trusted and knew I would feel more comfortable being weapon less. -
Oh, I also have shot a lot of 9mm out of 357 sig mags with no problems.
-
You should stay away from that WWB for self protection anyway. There's tons of reviews about them being unreliable Hollow Points. I have only tested hydra shocks and Gold Dots for 357 sig. Do you have enough brass?
-
I have two things for you. One is I had a Glock 19 with a unbelievable amount of rounds through it. A friend and I attempted a controlled penetration/recoil test with many types of ammo. The Glock 19 had always been a winner but when I fired 20 Buffalo Bore 9mm +p+ through it I was disappointed to only put 2 on the entire target.. I had no other misses that day with over 200 different types of ammo to include some Gold Dots out of a Glock 32. Another day I dropped my factory G19 barrel in my Glock 23 and 27 to find it was extremely accurate, we're talking 6" groups at 50 yrds. I would not hesitate to say I was noticeably more accurate with them than with the G19.

I was thinking about going back for the Colt DS. That sucks. Did they still have the Mini14 with the factory folding stock?
-
^GT Distributors. It's in Rossville, GA but they can transfer that day to TN
-
Just wait, I was in a local shop that had so many DA revolvers that were trade ins I was about to go crazy they seamed like such deals. They had a Colt Det special that seamed like a steal for $300. So many K frames I couldn't even look at them all. There'll be more come around.

Coleman's Outlet Posted - Reasoning behind it...
Patton replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Police can still be told to leave with our firearm and we have to. We just can't be prosecuted for carrying past a sign until after we have been told to leave. I don't know any LEO's that open carry off duty so it doesn't matter. -
The $300 sounds a little low for a 65 unless it's a real rough piece.
-
Oh and you should be mulching not baging. I only recommend baging before you seed in the fall if there's heavy leaves or during summer brown patch if a fungicide has not been applied.

Do not hire one of the chain lawn care companies, they only want your money. Find a local company. You can pay them to do it for what you spend in products alone. If you put down a preM before March 25th you most likely don't have crabgrass but instead dalisgrass or maybe rough stalk blue grass. The rough stalk blue is a cool weather perennial and most likely came from cheap bird feed. The dalisgrass would have to be dug out. This is a Fescue lawn right? Describe this grassy weed some more for me.

The PT1911 is supposed to be a great firearm, I don't know that I've ever even read of a problem with one of them. The polymers do seam to be what make the crap list frequently. I don't have a problem with Taurus but for Heavens sake please test it thoroughly before depending on it.
-
Do you reall think you wil end up in such a perfect played out scenario? In less you hit a innocent bystander your good in that situation but think of George Zimmerman. People already think he is a vigilant, if it came out that he loaded up the bullet that killed Travone would it seam like maybe he was living for the moment to kill someone. I shoot my 38spl reloads better than any of the factory loads I've ver come across but it's not worth it for taking a chance.
-
I've owned two Taurus autos and one was perfect and one was not. I sold the less than perfect one back to the shop I bought it from for $50 less than what I paid for it. My good one actually would have magazine FTF troubles due to weak magazines after about a year but beretta springs fixed that. Both of these were the 24/7 platforms. They say the PT92 is a great firearm. My father in laws judge has had a few weak primer strikes but only with me(I gave no reason why).

Politicians with Handgun Carry Permits
Patton replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
If a HCP is all you have saying you can carry then you must follow the same rules. Other than LEO very few can carry everywhere(well almost everywhere). EG-Some judges will have credentials to carry like LEO. -
Well, your not going to get charged because you had reloads in your firearm, but you better believe a juror will hear that you loaded up your own hot, deadly ammo. If I ever have to use deadly force for whatever reason I want to make every single juror believe I am just like them. This is what defense attorneys try to translate to the jury. What percentage of jurors reload? What percentage of them have bought ammo at Walmart?
-
If you are on trial, the last thing you want to do is look like a "Gun Nut" to a jury. I don't want it to be brought up that I loaded up some of my own recipe of man killers. I've had a defense attorney say if he can argue the defendant used the same gun, caliber, and ammo the police use to protect citizens, it carries a lot of weight.

^That is a valid point but if a would be assailant is anything like a cop, a firearm stands out like it has spot lights on it. I go back and forth all the time on wether or not looking like a cop is an advantage or disadvantage.
