  1. A Border Patrol Agent had a hard fall from his ATV and landed on his H&K rendering it unaffective. http://gunwriter.files.wordpress.com/2012/06/100media36imag0346.jpg

I never had an issue with the grip safety either. I at first was excited about the XDS but it's news has worn off. I honestly feel so much better armed with a subcompact 9/40 like a G27.
  3. I'm going to be nice and say as long as your happy. I believe that is my old Glock that I sold a couple of yrs ago after trying for several months to sale it. I don't remember the serial number but it was july97 test fire date. I personally can't stand a Glock 30 and I later tried a G30SF to only be displeased as well. I never could get used to the heavy thick slide. I'm really tempted to build a 30/36 hybrid but I'm thinking about getting out of shooting 45's all together. I'll keep the one I have now but stash it away and quit relodaing for 45. I will say the 30's were very accurate and never had a failure.

Let me throw something else at you. The Kahr CW45 is about the same size and lighter. Great trigger, I did the mag follower replacement to get 7+1 out of the factory mag. I also have a flush fitting 1911 mag for it. I'm not the worlds biggest 45 fan but the Kahr CW45 has filled the needs of a slim 45auto for me. It's been flawless with 250rds of factory load fmj. Had some initial problems with cast LSWC but bumping them to max pressure fixed it. The mag follower change cured all the problems with the LSWC so even bunnyfart loads perform.
  7. I've owned two Taurus' one was good and one was not. I've had 6 Keltecs and all have been perfect out of the box. Bottom line is if I buy any gun I'll test it before I rely on it. My father in laws Judge has had several weak primer strikes with .410. Might be the ammo though.
  8. Seams a little on the stout side.
  9. If this is the Trooper I think it is these may have been grandchildren or not even related to him. Sad no matter what but this is about the third incident of children and guns to come out of that community in the last year it seams like.
  10. Nurse requested we leave our weapons in our car since they have there own "security" EDIT: deleted some because I wasn't be very nice.
  11. Training, no! Something's adults should just know. It has made me think about my own home a little more. I don't think there's been a child under 10 here since I moved in but I may need to reevaluate some hiding places.
  12. Who would shoot a hot chick breaking into there house?
  13. I suspect that ~20% around here do carry. Open carry for these would be a mistake. Some psycho would snatch it away from them. I think every EMT that I know who carries has a LCP in a pocket, I know a couple that had a JFrame before a LCP.
  14. Carry deeply concealed and don't ask don't tell. ER room nurses are the worse to cry At the sight of a handgun. They don't even like having cops in there with handguns. Ask me how I know.
  15. Better yet, don't drive if you dont want to follow the rules. People act like its there constitutional right to drive fast.
  16. What is so wrong with putting the burden of paying for police protection on the backs of theVIOLATORS? BTW there is not a set amount that you must be over to get a mailed ticket but the guys that do ours have them set for 5 over in the school zones and about 15 over in other places. It really just depends on the location. The most dangerous road in our County gets the speed setting at 11 over but they often set up there just to deter and not have a officer sit with it. By TN law a officer must be watching the camera to mail citations. Chattanooga has some Perm-Mounted ones grandfathered in. These trailers and trucks will be obsolete in 2-4 yrs. new technology is a handheld LIDAR with a camera built in that takes you picture as your speeding away. Same principal but a lot more mobile and the officer holds it. The same as a officer witnessing you speed but he mails the ticket rather than stopping. http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2012/feb/22/hamilton-county-deputies-testing-speed-detector/
  17. The best of the M&Ps, Glock messed up on the G30/36 IMHO. I really don't have any experience with shooting a 45c though.
  18. Honestly, they are a good thing. The fines are cheaper($50) by law in TN and they don't go on a DMVR. The violator gets a ticket in the mail with several photos of there violation and a link they can go to so they can watch video of there offense. The video will show the speed the vehicle is traveling to a tenth of a mile per hour.
  19. Wow Kevo, I remember us trying to meet up. I don't have the G32 any longer. I focused on going mostly all 40 in my Glocks. I still have some 357sig brass and some factory loads.

    GLOCK LE Dealer

It looks like GT's has FL and Ga but ED's only has GA territory. Weird how there is two in GA.

    GLOCK LE Dealer

I used to think that to until I heard GT Distributors and ED's Public Safety were in the top 20 in Glock sales in the country. I wonder if that excludes GA?
  22. I've been really surprised to have not seen more random shootings at churches with the way some have far out believes. When i was a kid I witnessed a really bad domestic assault at church. If I carry anywhere it will be at church. If there were others carried there that I highly trusted and knew I would feel more comfortable being weapon less.
  23. Oh, I also have shot a lot of 9mm out of 357 sig mags with no problems.
  24. You should stay away from that WWB for self protection anyway. There's tons of reviews about them being unreliable Hollow Points. I have only tested hydra shocks and Gold Dots for 357 sig. Do you have enough brass?
  25. I have two things for you. One is I had a Glock 19 with a unbelievable amount of rounds through it. A friend and I attempted a controlled penetration/recoil test with many types of ammo. The Glock 19 had always been a winner but when I fired 20 Buffalo Bore 9mm +p+ through it I was disappointed to only put 2 on the entire target.. I had no other misses that day with over 200 different types of ammo to include some Gold Dots out of a Glock 32. Another day I dropped my factory G19 barrel in my Glock 23 and 27 to find it was extremely accurate, we're talking 6" groups at 50 yrds. I would not hesitate to say I was noticeably more accurate with them than with the G19.
