  1. Someday someone may break in your house and need a gun. Something my grandfather always said.
  2. I to have owned one of his holsters. He was always trying to say he had a patent pending and saying to other manufacturers that he would get them for copyright infringement, but to my understanding he wasn't even close to being the first to produce that style of holster. Anyone know about how many employees he had ? It couldn't have been more than a just a couple.
  3. I see what you done there.
  4. Why not? He had beyond reasonable suspision to question and detain for investigative purposes. Don't like it? Don't OC. Remember a LEO in TN can do that in TN just because he sees a firearm, if the officer chooses.
  5. At 43, you never know. I lost several friends in their 20's due to heart troubles. One was a Marine, one was a EMT/firefighter. So its not always lifestyle. Thoughts and prayers for the family.
  6. No, the guy in Smithville is so overpriced I don't think he has ever sold one. There is a guy in Hilham that sales 10-20 guns a month, I can't believe the ATF hasn't been to visit him.
  7. To be honest I shoot a baby Glock as accurately as a fullsize. I've went back and forth over the years on which ones I like to carry. Nowadays I'll take a G23 over any of them. Nothing wrong with a G17 or G19 though.

    Walther PPS 9mm?

Those that have them swear by them. As stated above the 9mm version is often preferred over the 40. I have handled one and thought it was a weird size and blocky.
  9. The Beretta is a accurately boring, well built tank. The R1 is a 1911, take it however you will. The Glocks are Glocks, if Glocks are your thing. I find the G21 to be a massive mainly due to having been around G17/19 my entire shooting life. Only you can decide which is for you.
  10. The only mags I have seen the springs wear out on from being loaded is on a Taurus 24/7. After a couple of years of being loaded the spring was very weak. But generally loading and inloading is what appears to be what causes wear. I keep about 1/3 of my magazines loaded, I do switch out the round in the chamber when I eject it.
  11. I've owned most all the tuckable styles before. The Intruder is a good value. I think the standard hooks are the worst thing about the Intruder, the optional j hooks are stronger. I'm really impressed with the Kholster compared to the others.

    Sig P220 Appraisal?

I've seen ones like yours for $5oo(at a shop) and up. It's worth what someone will give you for it. The fact it doesn't have a rail really doesn't make it that less desirable, it just means it's most leaky a older model.

    "Glock Haters"

I used to be the same way but I was forced to carry Glocks and my hands evolved to like the fullsize ones.

    new 45

I shot one today. Overall I could see buying one. The recoil was about what I expected, about like a airweight with +p. It shot point of aim at 5yrds but any further away I or it seamed to shoot extremely low. It was about 1ft low at 20yrds with everyone. We only put a box through it before it was too dark. Not a single failure but I could see someone having a feeding issue with the slide when releasing. It was spongy and if I didn't sling shot it, it would need a tap to get it forward. I shot revolvers a lot but 6 rounds in a auto seam to go fast!
  15. Getting rid of my 23 RTF was a huge mistake. I really did t find the RTF too abrasive but it has been reported as being so. If you want to carry IWB get a Kholster.
  16. I predict USC will Start out strong and then possibly loose 3 of its last 6 games. I think most of the SEC will have about the same records as last year except LSU will play in the BCS Title Game and not Alabama.
  17. With the LCP's long trigger pull I carry it without any concearns. I do prefer to have it in a holster though.
  18. The LCR 357 is not a fun gun to shoot with 357mag and add the waisted energy with such a short barrel it makes me wonder why they have sold so many. It is nice knowing you can shoot 357's if you have to. I am anything but a LCR hater, I wish my 642 had as good of a trigger as my LCR does.

    M&P45

I feel the exact same way you do about 45 Glocks. This is coming from a huge Glock 9/357/40 fan. I have never owned a 45 M&P but I fondle one every time I get a chance. I think one can get used to the trigger. I know it's apples to oranges but have you ever considered a heavier 45? I'm specifically thinking of a Sig 220 or 245..
  20. You should be training to tug the slide and not use the slide release anyway. If you feel like gambling, a Sig P250 is very lefty friendly.
  21. You know I greatly prefer a XD over a XDM. I think the XD 9 in any size is the cream of the Springfield crop.
  22. I actually remembered it this year. Happy Airborne Day to my fellow Paratroopers, past and present. Remember your 5 points of performance and your 3 rules of the air.
  23. I don't really see too much of a reason to get a drivers license number. A name and date of birth will give police everything they need to know especially if you know they live in TN.
  24. I recommend keeping all email conversations that most likely will contain phone numbers and names. Ask the 2 important questions. I often will record the license plate number also. You should be more concerned as a buyer than a seller, trust me. I have never done it but you could record the conversation digitally with most any newer phone.
  25. ^ The M&Pc is really a good size, fits between the G19/G26 sizes.
