  1. I got a friend in some crap while in Jersey that just watched her car drown in 5ft water that came all in the last hour.
  2. I think there are a lot of factors with this storm. It's rare for New England to see hurricanes at all but much like Katrina it is the size of the storm which may produce 60-85mph winds for 24 hrs. I have a friend that lives in Atlantic City and they are predicting tidal waves of over 20ft, which is pretty serious when the tide is so high.
  3. It's a topic I have studied my entire life and based many school projects on it. There are four species of cats that are indigenous to N America Puma conclor, Panthera onca, Lynx rufus, Lynx canadensis. There have been black, Lynx rufus floridaious (bobcat) killed in Martin County Florida one in 1939 and one taken in 1940. There are very good photographs of some recently in Martin Co with one that could easily be mistaken as black leopard but he is missing a tail. There have been as recently as the 1930's large blue cats killed in Alaska but I can't recall much about them. Diablo is probably the closest documented case of a black leopard we have in N America but he was not born in the wild. He can be found at a zoo in Omaha Nebraska, he was breed from two normal leopards.
  4. You are correct that there is not a species of black panther or black cougar in N America but there are a few documented cases of large cats with melanism ( all have been leopards) that makes it look black. It can be described as ghost striping. It's what we call a alleles of a gene. The odds of it occurring are about 1 in 10,000 so truth be known there may not be one alive now but there may be one in our life time. Leopards normally have 3 cubs a litter normally the mother will reject the melanism because it most likely will have a immune difficiency and most likely only one will have the pigment discoloration. Actually unrelated but I have known of black couples having white babies and vice versa.
  5. http://www.jbmf.us/mem-wot.asp I can't look at this page without crying. SSG Tabb's dog Bo is the most impressive dog I have ever met in my life. Bo took major shrapenal to the head but is living the retired life in Atlanta with Tabb's family. Bo was the model of what a MWD should be.
  6. That may be the worst FL game I have ever watched. I don't think GA can hold against Ms St or The Tide.
  7. Word is a broken tibia for Lattimore which is probably a 3 month recovery. If this is all we are very fortunate.
  8. Lol! Tyler Bray is horrible. Roll Tide!
  9. I always loved the 20 rounders because it was so much easier to shoot from the prone position and the mags fot easier in the pockets.
  10. Nevermind
  11. It's definetly broken below the knee. Video http://www.cockytalk.com/showthread.php?t=181720&page=2

    New ink

I got a neighbor who was a Marine 50 yrs ago that got his first tattoo the other day. Of course it's a eagle ball globe and anchor.
  13. SC-Marcus Lattimore just went down with what may be a broken leg. Keep him in your prayers. Roll Tide!
  14. It's no surprise The Times Free Press posted the arrest report for this guy online without blocking his social. http://www.timesfreepress.com/documents/2012/oct/26/uniform-arrest-report-affidavit-complaint/ I could go get as many socials as I wanted with a trip to any police station.
  15. ^It prints less than a traditional OWB but a slight bit more than a IWB. The belt pulls it in tighter. I just don't care for IWB, it's just not for me. And yes I tried a Crossbreed and a Kholster. I do sometimes wear a Glock sport combat holster in the belt and outer belt, with it it doesn't matter quite so much.
  16. I have been wearing my holsters/belts like that for a long time and it is very comfortable and reduces printing. http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq10/seacapt_/?action=view&current=IMAG0187.jpg

    Ankle Carry

I use a kangaroo holster pretty regularly. I normally wear it with a button up shirt and I often undo a middle button on the shirt when I walk around. I don't use one with a Glock or M&P because I can squeeze the trigger through the holster intentionally. I normally carry a j frame with it.
  18. I just want to give you a disclaimer about using your auto insurance roadside. If you have too many claims in one year, they may drop you. My mother in law had a wreck, a lock out, and a tire change in a one year time period and she got dropped. Before that I don't believe she had made a claim in 10yrs.
  19. Just thought I would mention that 10yrs ago today I kissed momma and my girlfriend good bye and left for Basic Training at Leonard Wood. It's hard to believe 10 yrs have went by already.
  20. I'm shocked at what Florida did to the Cocks.
  21. My mom makes a pineapple cheese casarole. Perfect combination of sweet and salty, basically chunked pineapple with cheddar cheese baked with crushed ritz checker and melted butter. Very good served warm w/ vanilla ice cream.
  22. Polk County is just a different place especially the eastern side of the Ocoee. I know we are talking cities and not counties but the whole county is like walking back in time 25 yrs ago. Except for all the latest kayaks.
  23. A event I think about everyday occurred in 2005 in Afghanistan when I was a E-4 with three yrs under my belt. My squad and I were on our usual boring patrol and I was the gunner in the last vehicle of our three vehicle patrol. As we patrolled around a river bed I was focused on four grown men with ak's slung over their shoulder. This was something we saw all the time but their eye contact was different and I got a funny vibe. These men actually had about 60 sheep and goats they were herding so they looked like maybe they actually had a purpose. As we drove a few more minutes we came across a squad of Marines that obviously looked like they had been out for days, obviously some hard working Rifleman. Since we came across the Marines I didn't speak to anyone in my truck about the local nationals seaming sketchy. As we went on and stopped a hour later I mentioned to one of the guys in the other trucks about how the guys with AK's and sheep seamed like turds. My buddy said he got the same funny vibe. We get a call across the radio and the Squad Leader calls the TOC to get the message that the Marines on foot sent a 3 man team up to the top of a mountain to look for some lost NVG's when the were ambushed and killed. The other Marines raced to the top and got into a firefight before killing the insurgents. I frequently think about how my squad in our heavily armed and armored gun trucks could have been the ones to scrap with the insurgents instead.
  24. I just answered my own question. If its from a FFL it doesnt have to be held.
  25. I thought Posey's had to hold firearms for 30 days since he is licensed as a Pawn Broker?
