1. It appears the gunman was a 22yr old using a stolen AR-15. Thankfully he experienced a malfunction limiting his casualties.
2. If your getting stovepipes only with the FMJ then I would seam like its either a stiff recoil spring or weak ammo. Truthfully I wouldn't carry a Kahr until I have at least 100 rds without an issue.
3. I have called in a plate only to let dispatch know which vehicle I have stopped so if the stop goes bad we actually have a chance of finding the vehicle and then we can find out who may have been in it. There is no need to assume whoever the plate comes back to is actually in the vehicle. Most of the time Bad guys don't legitimately own vehicles anyway. You are really worrying over nothing, the majority of LEO's are not disarming on simple traffic stops. I will say after someone goes through the trouble of disarming for me I'm probably going to be kind enough not to issue a ticket.(and I jave not till this day)
4. I thought just like you before I was exposed to reality. Sue me? Dude I get threatened with civil suits everyday. Don't believe everything you see or hear on TV. I have nothing in my name and that's assuming you could get past my huge arsenal of attorney friends that owe me favors. I will have you know most officers do not disarm every armed HCP they come across, I can only remember asking a few people. It's not the guns that I know are there that I fear, it's the ones I don't know about. I treat every vehicle and person like there may be a firearm there. I really don't care if they tell me anyway. The ones I have disarmed are ones that have commited a crime and not necessarily a traffic infraction. I have disarmed two guys matching the description of shoplifters leaving a Walmart.(wasn't them). I have disarmed a guy after a domestic and of course a few reckless endangermets involving a firearm.
5. You do not have to disclose to an officer that you are armed. You do not have to answer truthfully that you have a firearm on you but if you are found with one your wordeans nothing from that point. I don't believe a false statements to police Charge would stick.
6. TCA says otherwise.
7. It's the classic tight chamber I experienced. It seams to appear with Speer/Gold Dots sometimes as well as Hornady. Someone told me to take the davspping pun ou of the resizing die and resize the entire finished round but I still couldn't get the bottom of the case small enough where it meets the rim. I never tried a 4pc kit with the above mentioned die.
8. I think the matter is not that the LEO thinks A legally armed citizen will open fire but the fact we get so criticized by our command when we do things certain ways we get "Monday morning qtrbacked". You was told there was a weapon in the car but didn't take it? I can't count the number of times a citizen called, emailed, or spoke to a chief or LT trying to commend a LEO and it backfired on the officer.
9. If you must have a NS is a LCR out of the question?
10. I also can't see them going to the range and qualifying under HR218.
11. I'm not reading over this entire post but if it's a legal stop with probable cause or even reasonable suspicion that a crime or violation has occurred The LEO has every right to disarm you for the duration of the traffic stop at least in TN. PERIOD!
12. I have given one or two DUI's when someone was under .08. It's what we call the "DUI per say" and truthfully one of the only reasons I do it is because 1. They did show some impairedness 2. They most likely had some other charges like domestic assault 3. And of course the minor child in vehicle, repeat offender, or other zero tolerance violations. The way I see it if I would charge someone with public intox I would charge them with carrying a weapon while intoxicated. I just can't imagine only because someone smells of alcoholic beverages charging them with being armed. The smell may very well have been from the night before.
13.
My pastor bought one. Aside from the slide bite (his fault), the slide stop kept working its way loose after a few rounds. He traded it for a Glock 36
That is a commonly reported trouble but for less than $374 new out the door I wanted to give it a try. I'll tell you they have some rough edges and can blister the trigger finger.
14. But the ATF knows(can find out) who bought it new. The ATF does occasionally visit gun shops to see who's bought what. I've seen it happen.
15. I owned one back early this year. I have for a long time been searching for the perfect 45acp and the kahr was close. Mine didn't like my reloads no matter what I did. Its also very common to them to not like Hornady ammo do to the tight chamber. Commander size 1911 magazines will work but it's not worth the trouble of modifying and testing them in my opinion. I kind of wished I would have kept it now. Just about every Glock holster I had worked perfectly with the Kahr.
16. I had a 1952 Ted Williams Red Man Tobacco card that I had been holding onto since the mid 80's. I think the most it was ever worth was $180 in early 90's. I sold it on eBay in 08' because I was noticing a trend, I was happy to get $41 for it then.
17. Good luck with them, they are no where near what the used to be. I also recommend Tuff Stuff and actually putting them on EBay is about the best way to get rid of them.
18. Even if the magazines are all factory and it's perfect I wouldn't want to pay more than $550.
19. As a former car salesman it is apparent in my findings that Economy Honda may very well be the most well run, professional dealership I have ever come across. Slowly about 50%of the car salesman that I actually respected and thought were good people have found there home at Economy. It is about the only dealership I have seen that actually does all the candy coated crap dealerships claim they do. Long story I was looking for a standard cab Tacoma with low miles. A friend over there at Economy called and said they traded for one. I went and looked at and they said we got to have it looked at. Bad news, it showed signs of water damage, clean Carfax though(not a surprise), so they sent it to the auction. Another friend at a dealership across town called and said they just got a perfect Tacoma and it's been inspected and serviced;) Guess which Tacoma it was.

21.
^^^Was the reliable source ESPN? Cause its already been all over their website all morning.
The way things have went I takes more than a news source "saying" to convince me.
22. The compact 45 USP is highly sought after.
23.
TN resident at least 21 years old. ,
As strange as it is they only have to be over the age of 18. I have known a few police officers and sheriff deputies under 21 that have had others buy their ammo though.
24. It's Butch Jones, I just got the call from a reliable source.
25. I own a S&W 642 and a LCR. The LCR definitely has a better trigger but the nastalga of the Smith makes it more appealing. The grips and holsters for the S&W's are a lot more available than the LCR's. The finish on my 642 is vastly worn from holsters and pockets so don't expect it to remain pretty. I have a few other S&W revolvers but I don't carry them, a little to heavy or too big. My LCR was supposed to have been for my wife but even trying all three different grips she has decided to stick with a LCP.
