  1. I have had a Kholster and a Crossbread. The Kholster was better with its metal clips and smooth leather back. The crosses on the Crossbread standout and draw attention and I was able to wear the kholster's clips behind the belt for better concealment. I actually ended up going strictly to OWB and pocket carry. I'm really conscious about how I look and with a tucked in shirt it made me look like I was 20lbs larger than I really was. I also realized with IWB I was not as fast at drawing as I thought I was.
  2. JägerMonster; green monster with 2 shots of jäger. I save them for special occasions. They are totally out of this world.
  3. I sent you a PM but I don't know if it went.
  4. For a while Sportsmans Warehouse was doing it every month but I haven't seen a sign in a long time.
  5. All they do is measure the time between two points and convert fps into MPH. Normally they will already have it calculated on a chart.its accurate as long as your good with a stopwatch and your math is right.
  6. That was great. Timing a a vehicle between two points is what we call VASCAR.
  7. Sig 220's are outstanding, seam like there capacity should be a tad more but that's common of Sig.
  8. A old friend that works at Walmart and covers the sporting goods area said back in November they were told there was enough ammo in the distribution centers to cover election doomsayers and the zombie apocalypseies, or whatever event should happen. Also apparently corporate Walmart has not released any of the memos about quantity limits. If you have been told of any then its from individual stores or region.
  9. I always figured it would be. A 22mag snubby actually feels almost like a .38 snubby so I understand. Recoil is a funny thing, so different from one gun to another even if they are the same caliber. I can't tell a difference between a G19 and a G23 but my LCP always catches me be surprise it's such a handful.
  10. 10 rounds an hour? Are you doing it in stages? Like deprimeing 50, then flaring 50, then charging 50.... It does take a lot longer to do them individually. A seasoned Handloader can do about 50 an hour assuming they are using a handprimer.
  11. That kind of blows the 40 snap/ 45 push theory, even though the 45acp had a shorter barrel. Was that a G30? I was surprised the keltec 22 mag had as much as it does.
  12. Most Kahrs if not all have solid polymer rails. There are some metal like guides up front though. It's actually a proven design.

    9mm vs .40

M&P triggers are hit or miss. I have a new Shield in .40 and it has some of the mildest recoil I have ever felt. Less than a LCP and less than j frame .38
  14. Back on August I was reloading some .38 spl and during the priming process I was having a hard time seating some primers... Long story short I had a delayed primer ignition on a open case in the tray. Scared me to death and it took about 5 min to figure out what had just happened.
  15. So are we supposed to wait for him to tell us to fly it upside down? I think we are almost there.
  16. I don't have the story to cite but I heard that the elderly are getting back behind the wheel at a much larger rate than any time in history. Story said,"They have to because they are having to return to work". The percent of young drivers involved in wrecks has decreased slightly because fewer are driving or they are driving less. As a traffic investigator I can tell you seat belts save lives, and motorcycles contribute to a lot of these high numbers.

    Thin 9mm

Kahrs just aren't for me, I have some rough farmer like hands and the slide, and magazines on my old kahr was constantly cutting me. The grip also has some sharp rough edges, it was hard not to take sandpaper to it. This is coming from a guy that loves a RTF Glock. My Kahr CW45 was very reliable but the most ammo finicky gun I have ever seen. Speaking of which, my 40S&W shield has less perceived recoil than the CW45.
  18. I would trust it only if I had tested it thoroughly, like 100 rounds without a hint of a problem. Other than some used guns there isn't much for under $300. However, $300 can get you a great home defense shotgun. A Hi Point often makes a great gun for your situation, they are big, ugly, and not as cool as a Sig but probably have about the same track record. Don't even compare the P-11 to the P250. The P250 is longer-seriously, but smoother. Most of the difference in the two is probably mental just because of the size.
  19. My wife works at a bank and very frequently carries $2 bills. We use them to leave one or two for a tip to a server.

    Thin 9mm

I got a M&p Shield in 40 the other day and shot it this morning. It is such a sweet shooting pistol, the recoil is very mild. My LCP and j frames have a lot more recoil than the Shield does. I wish I would have taken more than 50 rounds to the range. It's a joy to shoot, I imagine the 9mm will be the same or better.
  21. If I could only have one holster it would be the $12 Glock Sport Combat holster. No joke.
  22. Actually I frequently use magnum primers in place of small pistol, especially in 38 spl. Those that have tested with chronographs report little to no change in velocity meaning the pressure is close to the same.
  23. ^If the guy behind the tree is even with her it's probably the driver. A good executive protection team always leaves someone with the vehicle(s). A lot of danger, all sorts, can occur if someone gets to or in the vehicle. I don't see printing, chances are he is a retired police officer who is in touch with reality, and not carrying a fullsize pistol unless he can totally conceal it. Most of the executive protection guys I know you would never spot their handguns, that's is they are even carrying.
