  1. I see a guy open carrying at Bi Lo all the time that would probably Splooge his keyboard if he saw this.
  2. If you want to do SOB, which has been proven not to be ergonomical, it needs to be a right hand holster with about a 25-45% cant. The problem with IWB and SOB is getting the gun in the holster and the holster on in the mornings.
  3. What a difference 3 days makes because GT's had a decent stock of some calibers.
  4. He is a good one. He used to do new Keltecs for like $255 OTD.
  5. I was about ready to make a trade offer for those fat heifer cats.
  6. I scored some 22WMR and .40 at Walmart on 153 2 nights ago. A lot of people were coming in and asking if the truck came. The guy working, probably the most intelligent guy to ever work a gun counter at Walmart, said the truck came but their wasn't any ammo on it. I ran across some ammo at J & M Pawn on Lee Hwy. It was priced appropriately but I can't recall what they had. No 22lr and no 9mm. GT distributors had a lot of guns. Ammo was lots of .38, .40, 45 gap, HP or soft point .223, .380 Self defense ammo, .32 ammo, and maybe some others. The .38 and .40 supply was better than it normally is. They confirmed that the 9mm 45acp and .223 is what LE agencies are not able to get for qualifications.
  7. I am still waiting on mine from several weeks ago. They charged my card over a week ago.

    New addition!

That model is the cream of the crop.
  9. Even better is the fact this was within the city limits of a town where there is more police per capita than anywhere else I can think of. If this turd would have picked a house 500 ft away in the City of Chattanooga there is no telling when the police would have arrived. Go to some of the unincorporated county communities and the Sheriff's Dept is as much as 20 minutes away.
  10. I reload most of it but supplies are as thin as manufactured ammo. .40 ammo is almost as plentyful as it has ever been. .380, .9mm, and 22lr is about the scarcest of all. I have seen one stash of 9mm on shelves and it was the same price as the same brand .40.
  11. It may have been in the trunk. Regardless Dawson bought a gun on a 4473 that he sold to a felon, in a attempt to gain profit. This is what got the crap against Dawson rolling. Then he was stupid enough to keep doing it after the BATF interviewed him and then he was the target of undercover buys. Dawson bragged about making hundreds of dollars a week selling guns out of his trunk.
  12. Well, there are a lot of people that have converted M-9 magazines for their 9mm 2022's. I don't know if it is possible with the .40's if the Beretta mags in 40 or 9 will work. If your looking for something other than factory Sig most people use Mecgear mags with Sigs flawlessly.
  13. I strongly disagree. We a ll know he bought and intentionally resold to make a profit but he went over the line when he knowingly bought with intent to resale a class 3 item. That was after the BATF disclosing that they were the BATF, and that he needed to obtain a FFL because of his frequent gun transactions. Dawson really screwed himself when he gave false written statements and then gave false financial disclosure to the IRS.
  14. I have done it, but unless your sitting down or riding in a car I think the pocket is a much better place to carry. If it's a BUG it's ok but the ankle for a primary kind of makes my neck hairs stand up. A LCP is almost too small and a baby Glock is almost too big. A JFrame airweight is about perfect in a Galco or similar.
  15. I don't know that those New Yorkers will even be able to possess magazines capable of holding more than 7rds.
  16. Most places only have .40 ammo.
  17. I'm still waiting on a order from them placed before Christmas but they didn't charge my CC until 4 days ago. I am anxiously checking the mail.
  18. Yes, that is great news. Do we know of any veterans that feel they have been descriminated against previously from WalMart?
  19. I may be wrong, but I think to order new ammo they will be paying a substantial price that they may not be willing to do. The reason is they think prices will fall in 60 days. I have seen gas stations refuse to order gasoline because they know when the price comes down they will be stuck with it.
  20. According to the Chattanoogan the brothers were arrested for felon in possession of a firearm.

    Benton Shooters

I have had some bad experiences with Volunteer Ordinance Works. It wasn't anything too bad. All I am going to say on here is that if you are looking for an item that they dont have they will make you feel like crap. However, I have heard from some police officers I know up that way that police and military are not really welcome. They won't ask you to leave, they will just ignore you or make you feel unwelcome. I have bought guns at just about everywhere in town. Sportsmans and Academy just have the big box store experience but are pretty reliable in being priced correctly. I have bought the best deals at GT Distributors and Fugates though. I think the days of $300 Glocks at GT's have long passed though.
  22. When I lived in Hawaii from 2002-2008 it was near impossible for me to find 10rd magazines, especially after the Clinton era ban was lifted. I expect 10rd magazines will be hard to come by for a while.
  23. I believe it has been answered, but if you pawn a firearm at the time that you pick it up a TICS check is in order. I'm sure someone has thought they owned a clear gun before and pawned it just to pay it off and have it come back hot. That would suck.

    help picking 45

    Yes, they are very impressive.
  25. I just started with Unique 1 year ago and it is as clean as about anything I have ever used. Supposedly it's a lot cleaner than what it used to be.
