  1. I can’t believe this didn’t go fast at $300. I love the DAK trigger.
  2. Something else I will add. The little guy with a truck is not always the cheapest. In fact, in tree work they are often the most expensive. I have watched the “big tree company” in town show up to a job with a four people with a million dollars in equipment and have a big tree gone in 60 minutes. The little guy with a truck would have had to rent equipment an spend days.
  3. We are missing a lot of details, but what you described is probably close to $1k per tree.
  4. If you come to Chattanooga I will have some 10mm and .223 for you. Don’t hold it just for me though.
  5. I assume you are in Dickson and Nashville but not traveling anytime soon.
  6. That would bring twice that on gunbroker. It looks like a s&w 327 night guard .
  7. The added on to the building in about 2019, and you walk into the TN room to do the transfer. There is a “welcome to TN” sign over the door.
  8. They transfer handguns to the back of their building. They are in Georgia and Tennessee; all in the same building. Advantage is paying GA 7% sales tax.
  9. You must see GT Distributors. They close at 4pm on Saturdays. Unfortunately they are closed this Saturday for Labor Day weekend.
  10. Is it a 2.7 or a 3.4? My father put a half million miles on one like that with the 2.7.
  11. I will add, the money I would spend on ammo to test the reliability of a Taurus could go toward the purchase of a nice Smith.
  12. My experience is kind of limited. I have a judge that has had many weak primer strikes with shotgun shells but has been 100% with 45 Colt. I have a Taurus 7 shot 38 snubby that is okay. It has a stiff trigger, and it doesn’t hold the tightest groups.
  13. The partially ramped front sight tells me the barrel is from 1947-1971.
  14. What city? I know where there is a factory Gen 3 slide in Chattanooga that has already been milled for RMR. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61555047826554&name=xhp_nt__fb__action__open_user
  15. Ed Brown magazines are checkmate magazines and very good in all calibers. There 8 round 45 are longer bodied and bot 7 round magazines made for 8 rounds. I just did the ED B exchange for six 9mm magazines. If you are sending about four or less the exchange isn’t worth it because you pay shipping both ways.
  16. Mecgars are supposedly good to go in 9mm, and even in the 10rd 9mm variety.
  17. Wilson Combat are the best in my experience for 45acp. Metalform and ActMag have done well for me. My bad experiences have come from Triple K and Chip McCormick if I load more than six rounds in them. A lot of other mags are Rebranded Checkmate magazines. Kimber, Springfield, Ruger, and Ed Brown are just Checkmates, and they are okay.
  18. I had a RIA 10mm, and I want another one. It was a very reliable range toy. I would have no concerns with depending on it for defense. I probably put 10 times the 40s&w rounds through it than I did the 10mm.
  19. Is the barrel profile smaller on the 44 Spl?
  20. If you still have it Thursday evening I will be up your way for dinner. I should have a good mix of factory 45acp FMJ and hollow points to make it worth it. I may have a few moonclips too.
  21. I love a 45 acp revolver. I will save you all the long, boring story. Frankly, I love big bore revolvers, and the shorter the barrel the better. My newest is a circa 1983 24-3 Lee Horton 44Spl. It came from the same collection as Spot’s new 22 Thunder Ranch.
  22. I know where there is one in a gunshop in Chattanooga if you get down this way. It was priced reasonably. I think it was 700.
