Did a thing. Benchmade 273GY-1 MINI ADAMAS CruWear knife.
ac3boyz replied to TGO David's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
The mini wasn't available at BladeHQ when I first checked, so I used the "notify me" option. Received an email about a week later that it was available. Purchased one and a few days later it was out of stock again. I didn't see any other websites at the time that had them available. I've carried this knife since I received it and like it a lot. Very smooth operation. Specs show it's heavier than most of my usual auto's that I carry but it's not noticeable in the pocket. -

not nice, lol. maybe they were getting ladies jeans!

I've given up on Levy's (politics) and Wrangler both due to inconsistent fit. They're not the most durable or price friendly but I've really found I like Lucky jeans. You can usually find them on sale for $50-60. interesting note, when you unzip the fly, there's a tag that says "you got lucky". I assume that's for someone other than yourself that's doing the unzipping.

If you're interested in taking a training class but don't have the 400-500 round for the day, Agape is currently providing ammo for participants. At a cost of course.
-
Our church security team has used Agape for about 3 years now. Quality, experienced instructors, and as Safety-First stated, they're more interested in teaching than bragging on what they can do. Handgun classes begin with the basics, safety and shooting fundamentals and proceed through shooting on the move and using cover to room clearing in a shoot house. A Tac4 classes introduces physical and mental stress. Our team also took their non-firearm classes, non-aggressive subject control, hard empty hand (spear technique) and disarming techniques. Overall, I would highly recommend training with Ken and his team.

Just got home today. No issues with SW on either end. Also, props for the Apache case from Harbor Freight.

Who Here Has A Generator, And It Saved Them ?
ac3boyz replied to billt's topic in Survival and Preparedness
Our main breaker is on the north end of the house. main circuit board is in the laundry about 10 feet to the south. Lee ran wiring from our circuit board to just outside the garage, on the opposite end of the house. Now we only have to roll the generator outside of the garage to plug in. Also, it's not visible from the road and thus hopefully less susceptible to theft. -

It was around $1100 for our house. When I bought the generator, I had planned on just connecting it to an outlet on the porch to backfeed the system. Found out that's a big no-no. Hated to spend that much but feel much more comfortable with the existing setup. -
Yes, on the case. I've never found a reason to put a lock on a gun. Thanks for your info
-
So any of the stupid locks that have come with all the guns I've bought over the years should be fine?
-
Thanks!

Good to hear. I'm planning to go to Harbor Freight tomorrow to pick up an Apache case. Where did you pick up your TSA compatible lock? And more importantly, how was the fishing? We're planning on mostly surf fishing at Fort Myers.

After 2 power outages last year we bought a Ryobi 8500/10000 generator and had Lee company wire the house to take care of most of our needs. We now can power both our refrigerator and separate freezer, most lights and our media room. Most important, without electricity our sewer pump is out so we have about 8 hours of capacity in the tank before things start to back up. Verizon's coverage is so bad in our house that we had to get a booster? to get consistent cell service and it's connected to our Xfinity modem so that when we lose power we have no communication with the outside world. I'm convinced that now that I have one we'll never lose power again, lol. I highly recommend Lee company to wire it to your system. We had 3 other electric companies give us bids and Lee was the only one that really had the experience and a plan on the best way to set up a system for our needs. -
10-Ring, How did it go? I'm headed to Southern Florida via Southwest Airlines next week to do some fishing and would like to carry my weapon. I have never flown with a firearm before and want to make sure I have all the bases covered.

I would bet the majority of guys standing in line to buy ammo at Academy are buying just to resale. When people stop paying 80 cents to a dollar a round for 9mm on armslist and gunbroker, the shelves will start to fill again.

Me too, thanks!

I'm not familiar with FPC. What is it stand for? I'm a life member of NRA, looking to support others.

Sight pusher tool recommendations
ac3boyz replied to lock n' load's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I can recommend this model. Just received it and had no problem whatsoever removing and replacing the rear sight on my M&P. Other M&P's sights that I've replaced have been really tight. It seems to be of good quality. I was surprised by how heavy and beefy it is. Instructions are easy to follow up and setup was quick. It's also currently about $143 on Amazon. I've replaced sights on around half a dozen M&P's just using a punch because I am cheap and didn't want to risk getting a crap pusher. Sure wish I had bought this to begin with. -
Funny, we were talking about that last Saturday. Didn't know there was video to back it up.

Welcome back Jim! I think 3 were shooting revolver at that match. 4 if King wouldn't have wussed out.

Take the Alexandria exit south off I-40. Turn left on brush creek road. Range is behind a house on the right, a few miles down the road. Should be a HCP class sign at the drive. 21 Barnes Lane Brush Creek TN 38547

They'll be happy to let you watch but I'd suggest taking your gun and ammo.

It's getting close. I'm really stoked to be adding a second magic to the collection. Awesome knives!!
