I don't see any difference in cocked & locked if the pistol is carried properly in a pocket holster and not rattling around with your keys. I like my Wife's P238 and would be looking at the 938 if I didn't like my CM9 so much. Joe W.

Don't think this is how the "stand your ground law" works

Every life is precious, but some choose to squander theirs buy becoming predators and living outside the boundries of decency (not necessarily Mr. Martin, that remains to be seen). That is why we carry. Joe W. -

I listened to it again and it sounds like cones, but that doesn"t make any sence unless he tripped over one. If he did say coons he is pronouncing it in a way I have never heard, and I have been in construction for almost 40 years. I lived in Central Florida when I was in the third grade (Dad was in construction also) I remember him talking about people wearing heavy winter coats in 65 degree temps down there. Joe W. -

I ment this to post earlier but got sidetracked by computer and power problems. I need to make a correction and apology for information in my earlier post. After reading several different accounts online I mistakenly thought that the suspected racial slur in the 911 tape from the Martin/Zimmerman case was at 1:36 just before “These A/holes always get away†statement. I have been wondering why I found nothing where others found something. After some more looking I found a transcript that stated it was a copy the Sanford PD released transcript as TMF 18B mentioned. Since learning the phrase is at 2:22 in the tape I have listened to three enhanced versions as well as the Sanford PD tape again. In two including the one from CNN they make sure you know what word you are listening for while the other and the PD tape have no direction. All four when listening through headphones sound the same except for background noise in the PD 911 tape. I’ll skip the F-word as it pretty plain and go to the word in question . In all four tapes the sound of the o seems long as in Vote instead of a oo sound as in Moon. Seems that unless Zimmerman has trouble pronouncing these things he may not have said coon. But that is just a opinion. I make a mistake I own it, again I’m sorry. Joe W. -

At this point a trial is necessary but if Zimmerman is found not guilty that is it, and what we actually know now leaves a shadow of doubt. But aren't cases like this where there is on statute of limitation left available for prosecution if some break in the case comes years down the road. If people truly believe he is guilty they may cut their own Throat. As for your self righteous indignation for those who haven't joined in yet, save it. I mind my own business until I know what is going on then I decide. I have kept up with this, I have read the media's made up stuff, twisted stuff, and saw the things they have left out because it didn't fit what they want it to say. The big thing for me is how did a fight even start with the billion or so eye witnesses standing around them, oh wait none of us were there. Now I will go back to watching and listening as my Father once told me I should do in order to learn. Joe W. -

We shot my Wife's P238 this weekend for the first time without a hitch, WW White box, Speer, and Hornady CD. We were using the Sig 7 round and a metal form 7 round. That said I've read on the Sig forum about problems with some extended mags. If Sig will replace it I would let them, they are good about it. HTH. Joe W.

Since no one touched on it, if you're a nawin on some real spicy ribs the light bread will take the burn off of them lips. Also nothing is better than beans and cornbread, or fried eggs and grits. Joe W. -
Another stand your ground story?
bronco302 replied to Volphin's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Thanks I have been loking for the names for this one since I saw a little snippet of it yesterday. This account has a lot more detail http://www.tampabay.com/news/courts/criminal/witnesses-dispute-trevor-dooleys-stand-your-ground-claim-in-valrico/1206308 not as clear cut looking as the one now. Dooly was a dumbass for taking the gun over to the ball court but he had turned to leave. As for why would anyone take a gun to the park, why take it anywhere. Mine is with me anywhere it is legal. 500 rounds, 100% reliable. The trigger is smooth as silk but feels like a nicely tuned double action revolver. Joe W.

While the jury is still way out on this little revolver, the resurgence in .380 is a good thing for folks with Arthritis. While the smaller pocket rockets are no help the larger guns being produced are. While I still handle my nines (XD9sc & CM9) a trip to the range leaves my wrists sore for a couple of days. In the last year my Wife and I have come to hate her .38 snubby, and I believe a gun you don't shoot is as bad as a gun you don't carry. This one may not be the berries, but weapons like this fit a niche that healthier folks may not have a handle on Yet. Joe W.

Congrats on your Kahr, I've had mine since October, slide failed to lock back twice in 200 rounds but that is all with 450 through it now. The Kahr prep list is what I have done to every firearm I have owned, never fired one out of the box. Check local for spare mags, with shipping on an Internet buy and tax on a LGS ordering them I only paid a buck more from a local guy. It also eats Hornday CD just like ball. Enjoy you have a little jewel. Joe W.

Anti-gun protest at Starbucks on Valentine's Day

The big thing is it's a boycott so we may not see any sign carrying Hippies on the sidewalk. That means there will be two types of customers inside, firearm supporters, and those who do not care. Both will be a fail for the boycott supporters. So don't worry about how your piece is hanging, just be on the inside with a little cash. -

Still looking for the info I found a while back. I have a Fox B 16ga. made in 1960 according to the date code and lack of a serial #. Since yours has a serial # it was made after 1968. The Fox B was a higher quality model of the Stevens model 311. this will give you a place to start. Boy, talk about apples & oranges. I like wheel guns myself but have never fired an LCR. I have had my CM9 for about 6 weeks and have 350 rounds through it without any problems, it's just flat out a shooter. Since you had a PM9 you already know what the CM9 is, no mystery there. If you really want a revolver the LCR should be a good one, but a S&W Jframe is just purtty. As to range friendly the ammo will cost you a bit more and while I don't know about the LRC in particular light weight .38s will punish you.

I'm kinda like pfries, I was looking at .380s and got a Kahr CM9 instead. Joe W.

Dude that's the Wife's gun:D. I did get a set of rubber grips for it on Ebay. They are good revolvers but kick like a mule. I know a lot will poo on this but if I or my wife could not handle anything else for what ever reason I would even pick a quality .22, or .32acp. These may not be front line picks but physical problems will not leave us without lead slingers. Joe W.

Try one of these, SIPIK SK68 Cree Q3-WC 120-Lumen Convex Lens LED Flashlight - Black (1*AA/1*14500) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme . Everyone who has seen mine has got one, my supervisor at work ordered 30 of them for people at work and his Volunteer Fire Department. Wide angle is just that it will light up a room, spot is so tight it shows the square Cree emitter. Mine is over a year old and I drag it under houses and cars and it keep going. One thing if you do get one it may take a couple of months to arrive. HTH. Joe W.
