  1. You may have already thought of this but it looks like you were set up to fall. Anti hunters or some one wants your spot. I have seen stand suports cut nearly in two knowing they would be used early before daylight. Take care out there. Joe W.
  2. I was going to say I didn't see anything, maybe it will stay that way. Thanks.
  3. I will be attending a show to see my Granddaughter dance today at the Worlds Fair Park. Any of you city dwellers know what Knoxvile has done (or not) about the new law shooting down their 86 ordinance. Thanks guys. Joe W.
  4. Been there once, nice place the Wife liked it. They're one of those place's that want you to disarm before you go in the store or range lobby. By their rules you can't even have a loaded mag in your range bag. When she is with me I'll go back, but to Sevier Indoor Range when on my own. I know it's their place but I view shops like this the same as any place that posts. Joe W.
  5. Maybe, but dying trying beats the hell out of what happened to them.   Joe W.
  6. I have a Microtech Ultratech with Bayonet style blade, they run about $225.00. I like it and intend to keep it, but if I get another one I 'll get the standard blade. Double action OTFs are not easily fired and won't trip in your pocket.HTH Joe W.
  7. I haven't had any experience with Benchmade but Protech knives are top notch. The Rockeye is a tank and protech stands behind their product. I have three now and the Godfather will be four. Every time I look at another brand I drift back to Protech. I also have a Microtech Ultratech and a Schrade Smedy, the Protech and Microtech are like nothing I have ever owned. Have your friend take a look at this, I haven't had to use costomer service with PVK but shipping has been fast and He packages the knives very well. HTH http://www.pvk.com/webcat/ProTechRockeyeAutoKnurling.shtml Joe W.
  8. Welcome, are you a native of Mascot? I've lived on Ashville Hwy above Carter all my life. Check out http://smfirearms.com/ in Kodak for your class. I haven't been there yet myself but could be about the closest for you. Take care. Joe W.
  9. Your already in but my wife and I like Ting. We don't use data just wifi. Have not had a $40.00 yet. Joe W.
  10. I agree, the holes alone really mean nothing. Number two is a bit much but it says what is. Use only the shape of the state as on #2 or add the circle to #4. I would like ether one done that way. Joe W.
  11. Mmmmmmm all Stainless Kahr's.
  12. Although I have owned and or fired many different handguns in the near 50 years I have shot stuff I had not considered one for carry before 2009. Long story short I chose the XD9sc for personal reasons and I thought I needed a smaller gun to conceal. If I had known then how easy it is to casual conceal with our open carry law I would have picked the service model XD. For times of a bit deeper concealment I have a Kahr CM9, and if I had known then what I know now I may have picked a Kahr CT9 as my first carry gun instead of the XD. I do have to say I am happy with my set up and carry the XD daily in a Raven Concealment Phantom style holster year round and don't have enough motivation change. Joe W.
  13. Payment is in. That is all. Joe W. P.S. That is for #57. If we don't make it that high any number will do.
  14. Back in those days before marriage I had a 1950 Ford Pickup with Chevy running gear, 327ci,350 turbo hydramatic. When I wanted a change up of wheels I had access to my Fathers 66 Corvette Roadster. Several times on Cumberland Avenue setting at a red light I had gals from UT just climb in that Vette and ask where are we going. Joe W.
  15. While I wouldn't argue the point on the courthouse steps, and I know schools are still excluded the word knife has been removed from 39-17-1307 but firearms, and clubs are still described. Of course we need a permit to carry these. The word knife has also been removed from 39-17-1302. A definition of what a knife is still exists in 39-17-1301, but if you can't be charged with carrying a weapon while just carrying a knife is it any more a weapon then a pencil. Of course if you attack someone ether becomes a weapon, but assault is a criminal offense. Just thinking out loud.As you have said so many gray areas. They could so easily write it black and white. Joe W
  16. Where is there anything about postings for knives carring the weight of law? I would like to read it. Joe W.
  17. Still a right hand world, demand would not be that high. I was born left handed but my Dad considered it a handicap, as did some teachers in the 50's. I was trained to be right handed from the time I started learning to feed myself. Except for real tedious things I do about as well right or left.   Joe W.
  18. I'm not  left handed but carry my knife on the left. I hold the knife with the button down pinched between my left thumb and index finger. My other three fingers wrap around the handle with the tips of my nails just touching the blade. I press the button with the end of my left index finger and the blade slips past the tips of  the other three. It's easy to operate with ether hand just practice a bit. HTH     Joe W.
  19. Yea but if you look close it's Hope for Bacon. Hmmmm I wonder if we have any maters at the house.   Joe W
  20. Here we go,and shown with my first attempt at wet forming leather. It has a Kydex back stitched to it to hold the belt clip. Have fun to day. Joe W.
  21. Don't know about the Godfather, Son but our Rockeyes deploy nicely left handed. I'm a rightie but my gun is over there. Spare mag, wallet, cell, and at least one knife is on the left.   Joe W.
  22. In Idaho you can get a Concealed Wepons License without a class, you have to take a class to get the Enhanced.
  23.   Well we will have to see, I think one of these will let you know it's open. The only knife I have ever had open in my pocket was an Opel, it was sneaky. I didn't know it was open tip up until I stuck my hand in my pocket. I modified the lock ring to lock the blade closed after that. Will be best to carry them in an empty pocket so nothing else can pull the trigger, kinda like a Glock.     Joe W.
  24. If you have Android 3 and up.   http://www.kniferights.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=273&Itemid=1 I haven't tried it yet but will when I get home tonight. Knowing the laws of our boder states would be a good thing.     Joe W.
