  1. That was my thought, but I'll get a few more at a later time.
  2. That's a good start.  Most of the public doesn't realize the responsibility we take upon ourselves when we choose to carry.
  3. I've never had a comment made about having a weapon, but I'd probably respond that I've got too old to run or fight.

    Opinions please!

I have five pistols from Springfield, 1911 and XD.  All have been accurate and dependable.  I've never needed their customer service and lifetime warranty, but it's good knowing I can depend on them if necessary.
  5. Unfortunately, I'm sure you're correct.  I saw a Colt Gold Cup at a dealer for $1300.  I remember a time when they were $300.  Ammo to feed it has increased at a similar rate.
  6.     I'm waiting for all the cute young women to realize I am available in limited supply and hard to find at walmart
  7. I will be there if I'm still in Nashville on Friday.
  8. I learned basic skills from my father and grandfather, then from ROTC and military.  Since then i take classes as available, to improve my skills
  9. I keep several weapons ready to fire available, but I have no children in the house.  When children are in my home, I make changes to prevent any possible accidents.  I also depend on my hounds as part of my defense system.
  10. I'm sure most of us aren't searching for a cure!
  11. I wouldn't place any future orders with this source.
  12. The ammo shortage doesn't seem to slowing the number of shootings in Memphis yet.
  13. Read the manual and become comfortable with the gun before loading it.  Learn the rules of safe handling and ALWAYS follow them.  Find a range, take a class and practice often.

    Decockers

I'm more comfortable with the safety of a 1911.  The safety record of decockers has been good, but I'm always more cautious with a pistol with a decocker.

    Opinions please!

Find a range that rents guns and see which works best for the shooter.
  16. I'd expect a german company to understand gun control.  It was very effective for some of their past leaders.

    New handgun

I was very happy with my XD40sc, untill my wife decided she liked it.
  18. Any safe or alarm only provides a temporary delay.  The more difficult, the more likely a easier target will be picked.
  19. Good shooting ranges have become more difficult to find.  I travel about an hour each way to shoot in MS as the only other range near me is MSSA which is an  over priced facility.
  20. As I travel across the state frequently, I buy ammo when it is available at a reasonable price, need it or not.  As I have an adequate supply of most calibers i will not pay unreasonable prices nor hoard supplies I don't need.
  21. An item is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
  22. As all my guns are always loaded, I don't  question about their condition, if needed.
  23. My mini14 is a 6.8spc and I've been happy with the results it produces.  The only problem I've had, was obtaining magazines with over 5 rounds capicity.  I finally got a few 10 and 20 round mags from promag.
  24. Thanks for your service and welcome to Tennessee!
