  1. Would you want to spend the time and money required to defend yourself after a gunfight if your if wasn't necessary to save your life or a family member?  Civil as well as criminal charges could be the result of shooting a suspect without being involved to know the facts.
  2. I'd think many voters would be wary of answering questions about armed revolution, when questioned by an unknown person.
  3. As long as I do a good job of concealment, I don't expect to need to answer any questions.
  4. You won't cure a cancer, treating only the surface problems.   Most of those paying for the commie rag, use it in bird cages.  They aren't aware the CA database exists.
  5. I would want to fire a 1911 9mm before making a choice.  There are several good options listed.  I'd want to handle them on the range if possible before making a choice.
  6. Thanks for your service and welcome to Tennessee!
  7. It's worth the trip, to pick your garand from the rack.  I purchased one a few weeks ago, but the weather hasn't allowed an opportunity to fire it yet.  And it don't look good this weekend.
  8. I remember a similar experience at Ft Polk in 69.  As nearly all of us were headed to Vietnam, it wasn't difficult to get us to attend the services.
  9. While I feel no sorrow for the thug getting shot, as said above, it wasn't correct under current laws to shoot him in the back.
  10. Laws seem not to have been a deterrent to drugs or speeding.
  11. Every tool has a purpose.
  12. This was one of the major points from the first permit class I attended.  I still  remember being made to say repeatedly. "If I'm invited to a gunfight, I will run."  If I'm not there, no one gets hurt.
  13. Congrats on a VERY fine pistol.
  14. Money is a tool just as my pistol is also a tool.
  15. :) My automobiles have depreciated in value much faster than my firearms.  However I enjoy each to the limits I'm willing and able to afford. :)
  16. I've heard many good comments about Henry rifles from their owners.  My next 22 will be a Henry.
  17. I buy every gun with the intention to keep it forever!
  18. Is a $60,000 vehicle worth it?  A $15,000 vehicle will go faster than the law allows.   Only the buyer can determine if a automobile or a gun is worth the price.  Many factors are involved in that decision.
  19. I recently purchased a Ruger commander after several months of searching to find one.  It's a well made and dependable pistol.
  20. It makes me appreciate my walnut stocks even more than I did before I saw that thing.
  21. A few hundred rounds of each, ready for my AR, M1A and M1 Garand.  Also, few hundred rounds of 45 and 40 loaded in mags.  They're easy to count that way.

    Debating Choices

The availability of a round has become more important than the price  for me.  I haven't had any problem getting .308.
