  1. My wife preferred a Kahr K40 before I got an XD40sc
  2. When check points stop producing results, they will cease. The legal enforcement system doesn't provide protection in my neighborhood because they don't catch and convict enough violators to make it profitable to the courts.
  3. Walmart's workers must not read the news.  There are hundreds of people, many with better educations and skills, who would be thrilled to replace them.
  4. The range that handles transfers for me usually has them ready about an hour after they receive them.
  5. I've been in Memphis over 50 years without being shot, cut or robbed.  However, it I were to be some areas and have a flat, I'd keep driving.  A new rim and tire are inexpensive compared to a trip to the Med Emergency Room.
  6. I love my bluetick hounds.  They've been good at alerting everyone in the neighborhood if there's a stranger, a cat or squirrel in the area.  My dalmation attempts to howl with them but it doesn't sound the same!
  7. My hounds will give a louder and more agressive warning than I am able to give.  Hopefully that will enough warning for a criminal to find an easier victim.  100% of salespeople have decided to go down the street rather than meet my dogs face to face.
  8. I hope I am never forced to use my NAA or other larger pistols.  I also hope I don't need my spare tire, but I don't travel without it.
  9. Anyone seen any results from the dui checkpoints?  We have them several times a year but I've never seen any results from them.  Providing the results might be a deterrent to those who choose to drink and drive.  I guess the media has more 'important' news to cover.
  10. As I spend most of my week driving to work locations, I've tried to find a good method for drawing a concealed weapon while wearing a seat belt.  My solution is to have a second weapon available.
  11. The Doubletap wasn't a consideration at all.
  12. Ever spend any time there?  It's no better or worse than other cities I've been in. However you must keep an awareness of your surroundings.
  13. My first pistol was a Model 19, wish I still had it.
  14. I purchased a Loaded M1A with synthetic stock several years ago.  My next M1A will have a wood stock.
  15. Ya can't win if ya don't play!     If you don't drink and drive, a checkpoint isn't a problem.

Common sense isn't as common as it was in the past.
  17. I've been able to get a few thousand rounds of ammo (380, 9mm, 40, 45, 223) in the last week, but none was available at a walmart.
  18. If it's on the internet, it's true!
  19. I hope the resellers have to sell at a loss of their time and money.  I will NOT buy from them.
  20. While I was at a local gun store today, I checked to see which models by NAA were in stock.  After handling one, the workmanship of NAA convinced me to try one.  I decided to get the model with the 22 mag conversion cylinder.
  21. If people would stop buying from the resellers at gun shows, the problem will solve itself.  I waited for months to buy 9mm and 223 because I didn't want to pay inflated prices.  This week I found cases of each at reasonable prices in GA.
  22. I've been looking at the NAA pistols for awhile.  Those who have them have made good comments about them.  It took me a long time to decide to get an LCP, but now it gets carried everyday.
  23. How would our Founding Fathers have answered a similar question?
