  1. A trip to Starbucks would likely cause atleaast one heart attack among the liberals there.
  2. The only junk gun I've owned was an AMT .380.  It's never fired a box of ammo without a jam, usually every magazine has a problem.
  3. I've had my G27 for several years and haven't had any problem with it.  While I think is a nice reliable pistol, nothing about it makes me see the need to buy another one.  This one does everything I expect from it.  I must be immune to the illness.
  4. It would only be at the wrong end of a gun, that I would ever be in it.
  5. The minimum order will be hit.  If necessary, I'll twist my arm and buy an additional one.
  6. Your new gun will probably need a few rounds fired through it to break in  and become comfortable with.  Load a magazine to capacity over night before using it the first time.  Read the instruction manual for the pistol.  Don't use the more expensive self defennse ammunition until you've become familar with your gun.  A few boxes of target ammunition will be sufficent for practice and qualification in class.  You shouldn't have any problem with the HCP class.
  7. I'm sure it'll be gone when i get to Murfeesboro on Friday afternoon but hopefully there will be be a few boxes of the 9 mm on the shelf.
  8. They've made provisions in their wills to continue voting democrat long after they're dead.

    My new Toy!

    A very interesting weapon!
  10. One important skill you'll learn with a .22, is searching for reasonably priced ammo.  This weekend I shot more 9mm, 45 acp, 44 mag and 5.56 than .22.
  11. My wife got her permit with a .45, but prefers a .40.
  12. Quick!  There is still time for a cure.  Get to a dealer and get a Wilson Combat in your hands.
  13. A Ruger or Springfield Armory would be my choice for a first 1911.  Both companies have excellent customer service.  I have had a Kimber Ultra CDP II for years and it has been dependable and accurate.  I've heard others have had problems with Kimbers.  As a member of the State Guard I got a Beretta M9 several years ago.  I now have several Berettas and enjoy shooting them but I would not choose it as a carry gun.  I shot a S&W 19 revolver for several years before getting a Colt Government Model.  That first 1911 began an addition and I try not to think about the number of them I now own.  If you can find a range which rents guns, try several different types and calibers before making a decision.  The result is, you'll probably end up with several guns!   Thanks for your service!
  14. It's been quite a time since I tried anything new.  After getting a little range time this morning, I may have to see what I can find. :yum:
  15. It seems I can't walk into a vet with my dogs and it not cost $100 per dog.
  16. Congrats on a nice vehicle!
  17. While different handguns and calibers each have their own advantages, the best gun to carry is the one you are most comfortable with.  Most of us will never need to fire a weapon in self defense and long distance shots or large capacity magazines aren't frequently needed.
  18. The president can't run a Country, but he's been great for gun sales.  I remember paying $35 for a new 10/22 and could shoot it all day for a few dollars.
  19. I asked a local dealer about one today and was told they had a list.  I walked out with a new S&W 629.
  20. Welcome!  Stop by RangeUSA for the monthly TFA meetings on the third Thursday at 7 pm each month.
  21. I carry anytime I am legally allowed except when it violates work rules.  As it is against work rules to have a weapon in a company vehicle most of the week I am unarmed.
  22. Some of those who fought for our freedom were considered felons by England. I'm sure some of those who helped create this Country and our freedom were also too young to be considered adults. Age and previous actions alone, should not prevent one from the right to defend themselves and families.

    Bent Glock

That problem is easily solved - just rotate the gun 90 degrees counter clockwise and raise the arm above the head.
