    M1 Carbine

I'd keep the M1 Carbine in it's original condition.  Save until you add a quality AR capable of using 5.56 mm.
  2. These looked interesting, but for a few dollars difference, I prefer to get Amercian made, instead American assembled asian knives.
  3. I haven't had a use for The Tennesseean or The Commercial Appeal for years as I don't have a bird cage anymore.
  4. I have several ProMag magazines for my Ruger 6.8 rifle as Ruger only sells 5 round magazines.  They've worked well but don't get used very often.
  5. If you visit the CMP store in AL, be sure to check the hours and days on the CMP site before driving there.  While there you'll want to pick up a package of Enbloc clips (25/$20) and ammo (200/$118).
  6. He probably couldn't recognize 6".  Those responsible for enforcing the laws, should be familiar with them.
  7. The chances to save a few hundred dollars will still be there when these rifles are gone.  I went to the CMP store and picked a Service Grade Special last year.  I'd like to get there and get another Garand before they're gone.
  8. I've only had my Dark Angel for a few days but I really like it.  The workmanship on this and other ProTech knives is excellent.
  9. I have 45 acp pistols from SA, Colt, Kimber, Ruger and Wilson Combat.  All have been reliable.
  10. Several years ago I bought a 442 for pocket carry.  Now I prefer to carry an XDs 9 or P938. The thought of needing to reload, makes the 9mm an easy choice.
  11. Gun or knife, I prefer to keep it concealed.
  12. Glad your dog is back home.  Years ago, I had a hound (with a micro chip)  stolen from my truck.  A few weeks later I received a call from a rescue group in an ajoining county, that they had my dog.  They said they didn't take reward money for rescues.  They get a donation mailed to them every year.
  13. Beltman or Tucker Gunleather are the only belts I've worn for the last 14 years

    Glock42

Which normally causes more problems?  Atleast a problem gun doesn't cost as much to replace as a problem wife.
  15. I received my Dark Angel today.  As other Protech knives, it was very sharp and the craftsmanship was excellent.  The desert sand aluminum handle looks very nice with the stonewash blade.  This is my first single action OTF knife and I quickly learned to keep my fingers clear of the retraction lever.  The nylon sheath was a welcome addition as I hadn't expected it to be included.  I believe the Dark Angel would be a great knife for a TGO run.
  16. I gotta stay away from that site!  Every time I look there I find another knife I need.  Last visit has a Pro Tech Dark Angel headed to me.
  17. I normally don't open carry but recently got a s&w 629 which isn't a cc weapon.  I will have a cc weapon anytime I oc this pistol.
  18. Reproductions won't have the history that the CMP garands have.  The CMP rifles are a part of our Country's history.   Some women purchased a set of bolt-ons, but they aren't the same!
  19. I've been using a cable similar to the one shown for twenty years.  Not a problem if you use a little common sense.
  20. If I buy more expensive guns, I may lose my membership in the Gun of the Month Club!
  21. The strips might be a good option for me.  The quick availability of extra ammo is one of the reasons I don't often carry a revolver.
  22. I have a problem paying as much for a knife as I would for a gun.
