    My First 1911

Congrats on a fine pistol! A few holsters, spare magazines and a new set of grips and you'll realize you've become a 1911 addict.
  3. I'm also interested but have to find another vehicle for my grandson.  In a few days if one is available I'll want it.   I haven't purchased a knife in a few weeks and the addiction is calling my name!
  4. I like my XDS but it doesn't work with my pockets.  My P938 or LCP is about the most I can carry in my pockets.
  5. My experience with VA was it was difficult for the buyer and seller to satisfy VA.  I decided I would never deal with VA again.
  6. I've had a gun and automatic knife in my pocket since the date auto knives became legal in TN but next week I have to fly to PA.  No knife or gun for a few days!
  7. I can't remember the last time I went in a Walmart. After seeing empty ammo shelves too many times, I decided if they couldn't keep ammo on the shelf, anything else I needed could found somewhere else as well.
  8. Springfield EMP9 9 rounds, 27 oz. My EMP40 is 33 oz but feels good in my hand and is easy to carry.
  9. Being an American citizen should be a lifetime permit.
  10. I'll wait until the crowds die down before going to the new Bass Pro. Someone told me they went on Thursday and the restaurant had a two hour wait.
  11. Welcome to Tennessee. Thanks for your service. Several of my guns have labels on the case -"Not legal in California". I can live with an ammo tax easier than having a State dictate to me what guns I can own.
  12. The band on mine broke in the first few weeks but the replacement has been good for several months.
  13. I'd be happy to buy a few of those Para paperweights if the price is right!
  14. Business as usual.  The Tennessean is a lefty tool.
  15. After having the Runt and TR4 in my pocket over time I like each of them.  If I were to only have one auto knife however it would likely be a Godson.  A Godson with Cocobolo wood, black handle and blade has seen more time in my pocket than my other auto knives combined.
  16. When I lived in Texas there were reports of a giant armadillo stealing truck loads of Lone Star Beer.
  17. I own pistols from Sig and Kimber and haven't had any problem with them.  My Ultra CDP II was my primary carry pistol for several years and has been flawless in operation.  I primarily use Wilson mags with it but the Kimber mag hasn't been a problem.  Kimber's Operation Manual recommends Recoil Spring replacement every 1800 rounds and Mainspring and Firing Pin Spring at 5000 rounds.
  18. The safety on the OTF Dark Angel must be moved forward to deploy the blade.  The safety on the TR4 must be moved to the rear to deploy the blade.
  19. Congrats on a very nice pistol. Let us know how it does on the range.
  20. Congrats on the 238!  Sig makes a nice pistol.
