  1. I use Crossbreed or TT Gunleather for most of my holsters.  Horseshoe makes a good holster but it's a long wait time.
  2. Sorry to hear that as I have several holsters and belts from TT Gunleather.
  3. The best option would be shoot several different models and calibers before making a decision.
  4. During the last 35-40 purchases I've had a delay and a denial which were corrected within a short time period.  A few weeks ago I had to wait over two hours for an approval.  Yesterday it took less than five minutes to get an approval.  These were at the same store with no changes in information on the applications.
  5. I don't understand the 3 box limit at some stores existing now.  I've been in Royal Range several times during the last month and seen stacks of .22 ammo on the counter.
  6. I carry a LCP if I need a smaller gun than the P938.  Both have been reliable but I prefer the 9mm when possible.
  7. My LCP has been reliable and easy to carry.
  8. most of my knives have come from bladehq, com
  9. I've enjoyed my Henry .44 during the last year. My next rifle will be probably be a 357.
  10. I have pistols from Beretta and Sig Sauer but have never had to deal with their customer service.
  11. I got my Henry .22 over a1-1/2 years ago and enjoyed it enough that a few months later I bought a Henry .44 mag.  This has been a great rifle.  Most of my 44 mag ammunition is used in the rifle instead of a revolver now.  My next lever gun will be another Henry.
  12. I likely wouldn't attend the fair in Knoxville, Nashville or Memphis anyway.  However I sent emails informing the officials that they will not see any money from me while denying my rights.
  13. This and reload time are the reasons I prefer a semi-auto.  The times I carry my 442 are usually along with another pistol.
  14. I don't have a P320 but my P938 does well in a Crossbreed holster.
  15. I've carried a P938 for over a year and been happy with it.  I usually don't fire more than 100 rounds thru it during a range day.
  16. congrats,    old man!
  17. Congrats on the P938.  You'll like this pistol.  After reading an unfavorable review in GunTests magazine several years ago, I was hesitant in purchasing it.  After carrying it for 1-1/2 years I've been pleased with the gun.  I recently got the extended magazine for it, not for the capacity but  better grip.
  18. My hound probably considers me as a liability, except during thunderstorms.

Short barrel length and price were the reasons I didn't recommend an EMP for a first 1911.  Some have had problems with SA, Kimber and other pistols with 3" barrels although mine have been 100 % reliable.  Rock island and Springfield Armory are said to have excellent customer service should it be needed but none of my pistols has required warranty work.  Preferably shoot several calibers and barrel lengths before choosing which to purchase.
  21. Outpost Armory south of nashville.

RI and SA have good 1911 9mm pistols.  My RI pistol was 100% out of the box.  My RO Compact took a few boxes before becoming 100% reliable.  The finish and sights are better on the RO but it cost a few dollars more.  Try to locate both of these as well as other brands before making a decision.  I also like my EMP but it probably isn't the best pistol for a first 1911.  You'll quickly learn the 1911 is an addiction, as you doing the paperwork on one, you're already beginning to have thoughts about which one to get next.
  23. My hound can sleep thru anything but hear a refrigerator door open during a tornado.
  24. 10-11 ,14, 20, 23-24, 26-32, 35-38, 41-43, 46-48, 50-54, 56-67, 70-72, 74-76, 78-80 available
  25. My wife wouldn't go along with the Gun of the Month Club so I'm not expecting much from this.
