  1. It would be a good idea to become familar the laws of TN, as they vary from state to state.
  2. I completed fingerprinting/application on 1/6/10. On 5/10/10, I called DPS and was told they were waiting on paperwork. My permit was issued that day and received 5/15/10.
  3. I'm an Instrument technician with 40 years experience - out of work since end of shift last Monday morning. Passport, TWIC,TVTC, Respirator cards current. Need work immediately to support coondogs and guns!

  5. You'll probably find the XD to be an excellent pistol. I've been happy with the several I own.
  6. I've had an Ultra CDP II for a few years and it's fed everything I've bought or reloaded. It's been a very accurate pistol at indoor range distances.
  7. You don't need to be delivering pizzas in Memphis to have a need to carry.
  8. There are too many variables to provide a simple answer. It's like asking what is the best caliber to carry. The answer is what you're comfortable with.

  11. My pistols by SA, Glock and Kahr have been reliable and accurate. I've never owned a taurus and from what I've seen at ranges, I wouldn't want to depend on one.
  12. I prefer a full size 1911, but it isn't always easy to carry. My next choice is an Kimber Ultra CDP II. When necessary I like the G27 or XD40sc.
  13. I've had an Ultra CDP II for about 1-1/2 years - It's a great pistol!
  14. Anytime weekends is normally good, however The next few I expect to working an outage at Valero.
  15. During the holidays I got a Centurion safe at Lowes for $299.
  16. Springfield TRP would be a good choice in the under $1500 range.
  17. I like the 6.8 spc, but it can be difficult to find. I now have added .308 and 5.56 rifles.
  18. I'm not a subscriber to the commercial appeal any longer maybe they'll print a list of those that no longer pay for their garbage.
  19. aGore has made a lot of "green" by selling global warming.
  20. The Nikon rangefinder seems to do an excellent job.
  21. Hornady 200 gr HP with 6.6 gr of Unique works well in all my 1911s. If I use factory ammo, it'll be Golden Sabre 230 gr.
  22. I've used the RCBS digital scale for several years w/o any problems.
  23. I've used .380, 9 mm, .40 and .45 acp from them without any problems. In Memphis, RangeUSA and Guns & Ammo have them.
