  1. It looks like it'll be several hours:popcorn::popcorn:
  2. You should have proof of insurance and registration in the vehicle. Your HCP shouldn't be affected by the registration of the vehicle. You might want to get a Florida non resident permit while you're there. It's accepted in several states that a TN permit isn't.
  3. I bought my first Colt 1911, NIB for $237. It was a well built, quality pistol made in the USA. My last 1911 was 10 times that price.
  4. Golden Saber feeds well in all my 1911s.

  6. Welcome! I'm southeast of Memphis. Have a few Springfield Armory 1911s and M1A. Where do you shoot at?
  7. Incompetent politicians (local, state, federal) are usually elected by uninformed, stupid voters who are told how to vote by community organizers, pastors and union leaders. I neglected to add editors like those from The Communist Appeal in Memphis!

    stolen gun

Sorry to hear that your pistol was stolen. Hopefully it'll be recovered. I want to think no one would be stupid enough to try to rob me me while at the reloading bench in my garage, but as I'm near Memphis I should start to carry while reloading.

    XD40 or XD9?

Several law enforcment agencies have switched from 9mm to 40. With the expense involved in making such a change, they must believe it's needed.
  10. The soup at the bar may have raised her BAC level again. -- this may not be filled with koolaid!
  11. I started with a small safe to keep handguns (now documents). I later got a larger safe to hold rifles, pistols and ammo (now no room for ammo). As I acquire more guns and ammo, another safe will be necessary. The post above is correct, the safe with extra space today will become too small tomorrow.
  12. Reciprocity applys to the issue of that states permit from another state, as a renewal, instead of a new application. As they reconize a TN permit, you can carry there, although you are responsible to know and obey that states laws. It's a good practice to find and print a copy of the latest rules of other states you may travel in.
  13. I wouldn't want to try to explain to a judge, why I was arrested in possession of knucks.
  14. There's not a big difference on the West or East side of the Mississippi Piver!

    Which 1911 and why?

Congrats on a nice pistol! Let us know how it shoots.
  16. I've got a RCBS near the left end of a 12' bench and a Dillon 550 a few feet from the right end of the bench. Lighting, overhead garage doors and experience using the presses have made several changes necessary as I found the placement I needed for the equipment.
  17. The HCP class wasn't designed to make you proficient, it is the minimum state requirement. After training in the military, several classes and lots of practice, I'm still not as proficient as I hope to become. I haven't seen a refresher class available anywhere. I've taken to HCP class several times over the years to keep up to date on changes in the laws.
  18. She gives feral pigs a bad name.
  19. The only metals I buy are guns and ammo.
  20. Neyland Stadium and the Vols!
  21. Most profit is for the dealer, not the investor
