  1. My experience with the M14 and M16 was a large factor in my choice of the M1A Loaded model.
  2. My most recent USA made purchases were an Army dress shirt and a holster from Wilson Combat.
  3. During the last primary, I worked as a precinct judge. The questions some voters asked me made it obvious that they didn't understand the election process or know anything about the candidates running for office.
  4. As a Kimber and Glock owner I think both are excellent pistols. I would have to keep the Kimber and get the Glock later. Rent or borrow a glock for a few rounds, many like them, some don't.
  5. The news also provides free advertising for a business as they report armed robbery incidents in the parking lots.
  6. I carry pistols in both .40 and 45 acp calibers. My choice is dependent on my clothing and the weather, more often than number of rounds or stopping power. If you don't have it at the monent you need it, other factors are meaningless. I believe frequent practice is more important than caliber or velocity.
  7. They're getting impatient, but still see the great muslim as their hope and change
  8. As many are tired of both the Rep. and Dem. parties, it appears that Ron Paul is gaining the support necessary for another campaign.
  9. My lodge was on Walker, just off campus, for many years. Don't remember anyone ever having a problem. It is Memphis, be aware of your surroundings at all times.
  10. I've never heard of a bank getting stuck with a bad note.
  11. Getting old ain't great but it's better than the alternative!
  12. IWB works well for me with a G27 or Kimber Ultra CDP, but not easily for a full size 1911. OWB with a denim shirt or jacket has worked well for my 1911.
  13. I went to the TWRA range a few days ago. It was also hot. After firing each magazine it was necessary to step back and let the smoke clear.
  14. The is no reason for me to go to downtown Memphis, if I have to be unprotected against the activities of criminals.
  15. I always carry during class. It's not a problem as long as the class on on-line.
  16. After the service I saw at the VA Hospital, you'd probably have to die to get into a Veteran's Cemetery.
  17. Most units plug in under the sink, check for voltage there and at switch.
  18. As a Vietnam vet, I went once, they sent me a bill, I haven't been back.
  19. The self-proclaimed "Data Reporter", :poop:Grant Smith :poop:has updated the commie appeal HCP database this week. I'd send him a letter to complain, but his update didn't include me again. I'll be sure not to enroll in any of his classes at UM, as he doesn't do a very complete job for the CA.
  20. A miss with a 9mm is a miss, just as a miss with 45 acp is a miss.
  21. Earlier this year I was working a shutdown in a refinery inwhich flame retardant clothing with sleeves down is a requirement year around. While running up and down the steps and ladders of a unit, I realized that I had overheated to the point that sweating stopped. I don't recall my BP, but it took several days to recover. It's best to start hydrating before and continue while working in the heat.
  22. Sams had a 10KW gas w/electric start for about $1000 several months ago. Motor was by Honda. They had a diesel model also, seems it was a few KW and dollars less. A 5KW is about the smallest I would want to have. I've found that as long as you have one ready to run, you never seem to need it.
  23. My first choice would be a 1911 in 45 acp or 9mm. The Beretta M9 may be a good choice as well.
  24. When asked a similar question while a coworker and I discussed a range trip, my answer was, "No one that didn't deserve it." The coworker said he hadn't but was willing to learn. Any way a meeting goes, you'll need another job. Good luck!
