  1. I have IWB and OWB holsters. Your weapon, dress and size will affect what works best for you. Most of us have a box or drawer full of holsters.
  2. A Non resident FL permit requires passport photo, verification of training, fingerprint card, application, $117. 34 states honor a FL permit which is valid for 7 years.

    My Mistake

I would report it stolen. It could be difficult to explain if a crime becomes associated with it and it's traced to you, as the owner.

    My Mini 14 review.

I've had a 6.8 mini-14 for several years. It's had reasonable accuracy and been very dependable. The 10 and 20 round Promags have worked well, but I'd like to see ruger produce them.
  5. As the TN training record and HCP doesn't show what you used to qualify, there could be no need to update it. Remaining up to date on the laws is necessary as ignorance of them isn't a acceptable defense to a judge.
  6. I would expect the vendors to have a better selection on Saturday.
  7. From those I've seen, the end result is the same, if they don't get help at an early stage.
  8. Some are content with 4 cylinders - others need a V8
  9. My last few trips there were a waste of money on entrance fees and gas. Several times I've heard employees in gun shops say the gun shows increased their business.
  10. It will be good for the owners, players and fans to skip next season.
  11. I thought that was from Al Gore

    I want one... BAD.

I'd think it sell very well, I'll have it on list of guns I need this year.
  13. That's the reason I don't to to the gun shows in MS often. After FFL transfer to TN, it would take a very good price to make it worth it.
  14. Thanks for your service. Welcome to TGO.
  15. Iowa has no direct effect on me today, but as more states move this way, it could be an influence on other states in the future.
  16. Some may need to get a compassor GPS at Station 3!
  17. I have several safes, each located in different closets and will probably need to add another one in the future. I like having them seperated as it will require additional time as they are dealing with the dogs and alarm.
  18. I found a reasonably priced safe at Lowes. All a safe will do is protect against fire and slow down a thief. With the safes in closets and several dogs most will go an easier job. You may want talk to your agent about a rider on your homeowners insurance.
  19. WWB from Walmart and UMC have worked well in my XD and 1911s. I've got a few hundred of the Federal before they went to small primers and they have been good. I've used Golden Saber without problem in .45 and .40 for carry.
  20. Recently in Memphis, the purchaser of a firearm was robbed when he walked out the door. There were several people and employees with loaded weapons, yet the criminals were able to rob the victim unnoticed by anyone.
  21. If you legally able to own a gun, you should be able to carry it. However there should be requirement requiring safety training and an understanding of the laws coverning legal use. The system in place now restricts issuance of permits, while not assuring permit holders remain current on the changes in laws, proficient skills or safety.
  22. Welcome! You'll find reloading doesn't save money but provides more shooting for the $.
  23. I got the G27 as a backup originally, but it has become a primary carry when i don't want the size and weight of a 1911.
  24. Welcome to TGO. Congrats on a fine pistol. I have several XDs and 1911s from Springfield Armory, but none in 9 mm. The sub compact has been easy to carry, reliable and accurate.
  25. As there are no children in my home, I have guns in several locations in the house. The ones I carry are usually in my desk or beside the computer, if not being carried. An XD45 is usually my nightstand gun as I usually carry a smaller gun.
