  1. I've had a K40 for 12 years but don't shoot it on a regular basis. It's been dependable in its role as a backup.
  2. My XD40sc has been an excellent pistol. I haven't shot a PX4 so I'm not sure how they would compare. The only Beretta I'm familiar with is the M9 and it's a well made and dependable pistol. I'd want to handle the guns and fire them if possible, to see how they compare.
  3. The laws of TN give one a choice of how to carry, if they choose to carry. They have to make those decisions and live with the consequences.

  5. Once you enter the 1911 world you will see that are no exit doors!
  6. I usually get a shot every year. Those around me say they don't need it, but then need to take sick days from work.
  7. About half of my guns are Springfield Armory.
  8. Get your head shaved before you report for training. Then you can get to know your drill instructor while everyone else stands in line getting a haircut. He'll remember your name and use it often. Be sure to proudly sound off and proclaim that you're from the Volunteer State! Disclaimer: This was known to work well for recruits in the Army at Ft. Polk.
  9. +1 I've bought a few guns from them at the memphis gun shows.
  10. Go to a range with rentals and try the different guns you are considering and find the one you are most comfortable with.
  11. A good leather belt is my choice. I got mine from Tucker Gun Leather several years ago. A 1911 requires a good belt to carry all day.

    S&W or Colt?

    wheel gun - S&W 1911 - Colt
  13. I'll watch the video after I get my tupperware guns out of the dishwasher.
  14. Just reading that hurts!
  15. I carry because if I don't have it when I need it, I can't call a time out, while I go to get it.
  16. How are you going to text on the cell phone if you're shifting gears with a manual transmission?
  17. It's easier to conceal than deal with the problems of open carry. I'd pefer to not have a thug aware that I'm armed.
  18. The only problem I've had with a Liberty safe is that it seemed to shrink during the first year. It's full and I need to get a second one.
  19. My Kimber and other 1911s have been reliable, trouble free pistols. The glock and XDs I own are similar in reliability. I'm in Guns and Ammo frequently and haven't seen any reason not to continue doing business with them. The employees have always been polite and professional in their attitudes from my viewpoint.

    Wish glock would

That's usually an operator problem. My Glock, Kahr and XD have yet to produce any extra holes.
  21. No problem - I found the exit door quickly. I'd guess on a different day, I might have had a different impression, but I saw no reason to go back again.
  22. Pushing the limit doesn't seem to have worked very well for kwik. The anti-gun groups are the only ones getting any benefit from actions such as his. Others have open carried without creating negative attention. In our current political setting, it is a better decision for most of us to conceal carry and not draw undue awareness to the issue.
