  1. Washington and every government building in this country are full of examples of this.
  2. I received an email from Daniel Shelton explaining that he hopes I understand his position. "We have a lot of liability as it is already" He's more concerned about a citizen "packing a lethal weapon" than those who drive lethal vehicles after drinking at his business. "I can't be responsible for criminals... They are everywhere among us."
  3. After getting several pieces of mail for my neighbors a few times, I stopped delivering it for the post office. I mark it "delivered to wrong address" and drop it off at the post office, so they can try to deliver it again. It usually corrects the problem for a few months. UPS occasionally seems to have the same difficulty reading the address labels.
  4. Congrats. You'll get bonus points for completion of Walmart Walk without being reminded!
  5. I spent several years working a nuclear plants, including those in Japan. They are well built, maintained, and upgraded as necessary. That can't be said for many of the chemical plants I have worked at. I would have no concern about living near one or working in one again.
  6. A good belt is the most important part of a comfortable holster.
  7. Welcome, thanks for your service.
  8. A backup camera or sensor may be a good option, but shouldn't be required by DOT.
  9. I'll be there looking for a power supply and other equipment for an HF station.
  10. If the telepromter is powered up, he's lying.
  11. A move to Olive Branch will result in MS state income tax. I wouldn't buy a house in Shelby County until the school merger is solved. Fayette or Tipton county seem to be a good option.
  12. KJ4WOU - I got a Technician last summer and completed a General class and test in March. As the code requirement is gone, it's not difficult to get on the air.
  13. Training in Amateur Radio has become a part of my preparations. I don't see other communications being dependable in an emergency.
  14. How long is the useful life of stored gasoline? Now that the yard care season is approaching it will get rotated more frequently.
  15. I usually look to see if a business is posted. I prefer to spend my money at those that aren't.
  16. The last time I saw a Raven .25, they were $15 or 2 for $25. I've seen a .22 brought to a class, hope they planned to carry something larger.
  17. Congrats on receiving your permit! Some of us have acquired more holsters than guns, trying to find the one that works well. A good gun belt becomes a necessity.

    Military Humor.

As two soldiers are exiting an airport restroom, the 2nd LT remarked, "In OCS, they taught us to wash our hands before leaving the latrine". The Sgt replied, "In NCO School, they taught us to not pee on our hands".
  19. You'll probably be suprised how well you do in the class. Some have never fired a pistol before taking the class.
  20. Welcome from the southwest corner of the state. It's only been in the last few years that I've become addicted to pistols, although I first started reloading 30 years ago.
  21. I was disappointed that he didn't shoot himself.
  22. Last summer I wanted a pocket gun for times a G27 or a 1911 wasn't an option. The 442 is light weight and easy to carry in a pocket.
  23. My G27 has a manual safety. It's worked my entire life without a failure. If I handle my pistol safely, there are no accidents with it. Also, if I don't hit anything I don't need a seatbelt.

Frequent practice is more important than the caliber you choose. If you aren't comfortable with a weapon, you probably won't have it, when you need it.
