  1. I won't drive in the hickory hood area without a pistol, day or night.
  2. Congrats on the permit. Remember to practice often.
  3. I haven't fired the Range Officer yet. but the TRP is an excellent choice for a full size 1911. It's more accurate than I'll ever be to shoot. If concealment is a major factor, the EMP is a good choice. All of my Springfield pistols have been reliable and accurate, but SA has very good customer service if it is needed.
  4. Desoto Rifle and Pistol Club is located in Como MS. It's reasonably priced but about an hour drive.
  5. I'd like to see more Sheriffs encourage women to train and get permits.
  6. Welcome to TGO and Memphis.

    New Toy

I've been upgrading printers evey few years. When I have to stop several places to find ink, it's time to upgrade.
  8. +1 The only thing I'll wait in line for is a Ruger SR1911.
  9. If I find someone in my home, that means my dogs have been killed. I would have to assume I was my life was in danger as well.
  10. I use several manuals as well as online and cross reference them.
  11. +1 My Non resident VA permit will never be exchanged for that of a VA resident.
  12. Tell him , he's not in VA anymore.
  13. I've had a G27 for a few years and it's been easy to conceal, fun to shoot.
  14. I never thought about background checks untill I was denied years ago on a rifle purchase. Within a few days it was cleared up, but for the next 10-12 purchases I was concerned it would happen again.
  15. I'm happy with my G27 as it was built. Load, shoot, clean, repeat as often as possible.
  16. I spent several range trips shooting my G27 beside my XD40sc. I shot them equally well and they were equally reliable and accurate. I now carry the G27 as my wife likes the XD. If you decide to sell the them, I may be interested.
  17. I'm a 1911 addict but often carry a G27. If it got bumped or scratched, it wouldn't have the same effect on me as similar damage to a Colt or Wilson.
  18. I see a legal challenge to this stupid idea soon. Probable cause? Am I under arrest? What and why are you seaching for? Who has given Keven McCarthy, as:poop: TSA federal security director of west TN:poop:, this authority to invade my privacy?
  19. Ranges are hard to find due to the government regulations which must be met and cost of the land necessary to build a safe range.
  20. Every thing in my safe gets fired and cleaned several times a year. The ones I use frequently get cleaned at 300 - 600 rounds.
  21. Sorry to hear that the Marine was killed by the reckless actions of the hunter. I try to stay out of the woods during hunting season.
  22. You haven't found the right woman. My savings are much better now than when I was single.
  23. Pick a subject that isn't too controversal to the instructor or other students who will deciding your grade. You don't wasnt your grade based on their personnal feelings toward the subject matter of the speech. I learned this the hard way during a speech class many years ago.
  24. Congrats on a nice pistol! I've had my Ultra CDP II for a few years and love it.
  25. That's what I told her
