  1. I added to tech sights to my 10/22 a few years ago. They were easy to install and adjust.
  2. I've had a K40 since 12/96. It's been dependable and easy to carry. My wife carried it untill last year, replacing it with an XD40sc. Now it's used as a backup.
  3. I haven't made any changes to my carry pistols, but removing the ambi safety may the first.
  4. I used Johnsons Paste Wax on the M14, years ago when I was at Fort Polk. I'd love to have that stock now. The stock I'm refinishing now was in rough shape when I got it. I'm going to try the Birchwood Casey Stock Sheen and Conditioner on it. 12/26/11 - The Birchwood Casey Stock Sheen and Conditioner worked well.
  5. Was the Ruger on display at the walmart made this way? My stainless 10/22 is several years old but the barrel and receiver are the same.
  6. I've taken several classes at RangeUSA and found their facility and instructors to be excellent.
  7. I usually don't carry an extra magazine, but need to start. Usually, I'll have a 442 or G27 for a backup.
  8. I've had a DPMS for a few years and it hasn't been a problem. It and Bushmaster seem to be about equal.
  9. I've only seen one person who wears a 'shoot me first vest'.
  10. Congrats on your first 1911. We look forward to hearing a range report. This will be likely the first of several, as the 1911 is highly addictive.
  11. Hope the pistol does well when you get it back. I've had a Kahr K40 for 12-13 years without any problems from it. Gun Tests magazine did a test of several 380s and it seemed most had problems for a few hundred rounds.
  12. My Kimber has been a good pistol but it isn't close to the quality or price of the SA PRO or Wilson. I got my CQB during the 15 month wait for a PRO. Both have been great pistols. If you don't want to spend as much, look at the TRP. Springfield has an excellent warranty and customer service.
  13. Just as a business owner has the right to post, I have the right to take my money elsewhere.
  14. It could be "Rocky Top". My permit as well as a duplicate have "Tennessee The Volunteer State" across them.
  15. The Heritage Rough Rider or Ruger Single Six 0627 would be good choices.
  16. I've used UMC in 9, 40 & 45 without any problems for several years. Most of mine was purchased 1-2 years ago.
  17. There's not a "deal" out there that would get me in the crowded stores this weekend. I get anything I may need before the holiday begins.
  18. Looked at their site, they had some good prices.
  19. I think felonies should stay on the record, but after a reasonable time, rights should be restored.
