  1. While working in TX years ago, one of my coworkers questioned my need to carry a gun. A few days later, he almost died from robber with a knife, while washing his car. He now carries a gun everyday.
  2. My first reloading bench was made from an old table and would fit in the closet of an apartment bedroom.
  3. I've shot my G27 and XD40sc together at the range several times. I shoot equally with each pistol and both have been reliable. I'd probably have several more XDs and Glocks, if I weren't addicted to the 1911s.
  4. While heavier than my .45 Kimber Ultra CDP II, it and EMP .40 are the same size. Both have been accurate and reliable pistols.
  5. My Kimber Ultra CDP II is a great pistol but I wouldn't get it for my first 1911. I have several from pistols Colt and Springfield Armory and each has been accurate and dependable. The Ruger 1911 would be a good choice if you can find one. Try to hand several before making a choice. Warranty and Customer Service would be considerations as well as price. The SA TRP is an excellent pistol in the over $1000 range.
  6. My "pointy stick" has never jammed and has more penetration than some small calibers.
  7. Nice grips!
  8. The only one I've seen in several years was at the Millington Airshow a few months ago.
  9. Welcome! Tennessee Firearms Association meets on third Thursday every month at RangeUSA.
  10. Congrats on the EMP!
  11. I went into a gunshop planning to get an LCP and decided a 442 met my needs better.
  12. USPS has had years to try to get shipping correct, do you want them having anything to do with healthcare?
  13. Santa is welcome here and it would be appreciated if he brought a few toys from Wilson Combat.
  14. For a 45 to carry the Ultra CDP II is a good choice. Dependable, accurate, casy to conceal.
  15. Golden Saber has worked well in all my 1911s. I use it in all my 40 and 45 pistols.
  16. After ammunition and reloading supplies were a problem during the last election, I've started acquiring some items before the prices and availability change.
  17. The inability to sell a stolen gun easily, would also reduce the number stolen.
  18. Cheap safety glassses from work.
  19. My XD45 is almost four years old. It's been dependable and shoots any ammo I've bought or reloaded. I like the thirteen round capacity.
  20. A pocket holster in jeans has worked well.
  21. My bluetick hound knows when the battery in his collar is dead and takes advantage of it!
  22. As the temperatures drop, I'd guess many of them will begin wondering what they expect to accomplish.
  23. I didn't see the article in Guns & Ammo, as I didn't renew subscription. A 1911 was designed to Condition 1 and I keep others loaded as well. I'll never have the excuse that I thought it was unloaded.
  24. Question 11.b on ATF Form 4473 asks if the purchaser is under indictment for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year. Before a not guilty ruling is made, wouldn't this question, on the NICS check, prevent the purchase of a handgun?
  25. It's a great pistol at that price!
