  1. It appears he needed a better defensive weapon at the time they were breaking into his home. A few rounds of 45 acp might have simplified the problem. Hopefully a good attorney and jury can correct it.
  2. The manual for each of the dillon models is available on their website as well as contact numbers for customer service, should you have any problems.
  3. He may be one of the best tools, obama and the liberals have in their efforts to destroy the 2nd Ammendment.
  4. Yearly membership - $250 - and up, or lane rental of $12 daily
  5. I'm sure RangeUSA will work to make this a good and safe range for practice and training. They've done an excellent job in Memphis.
  6. LEO have first aid training, but I don't remember hearing of them ever rendering aid to the criminal that a few seconds earlier has tried to take their life.
  7. The last few times I've attended their gun shows, I didn't see anything I needed. Unless I see a good deal, I'd prefer to buy from the local shops.
  8. The only attempt I would make at cpr for a wounded criminal, would be the previously made 45 cal breathing vents. If he's bleeding, his heart is working - cpr not needed.
  9. Congrats on getting your permit. As others have said, it's normal to be nervous when you begin to carry. Soon you you be nervous when you don't carry. Practice, stay current with the laws governing carry, and practice more.
  10. Several have made comments that they had checked weapons at the gate at this installation in the past. They said if you are concerned about the appearance of your weapon don't bring it as the guards aren't careful in storing them. The occassions I've gone there for training, it was stated in the orders from our CG, that weapons were not permitted.

    1911

Unless I have a very good reason to change parts, I prefer to keep my pistols in the condition they were purchased.

    M&P9 vs 1911

Gun values are unimportant in choosing the proper pistol for your defense. You should choose the caliber and type of pistol, based on what you are comfortable with. My wife can shoot a 1911 45acp well, but prefers an XD40sc. I am comfortable with a variety of pistols, but prefer the 1911 platform.
  13. In the past I've carried a full size 1911, IWB or OWB covered by a jacket or shirt. Now I usually carry an Ultra CDP II, EMP, or G27.
  14. I took the 8 week class at Ft Polk a few decades ago. The pay wasn't that great, but they provided clothing, living quarters, food, and had a great fitness program.
  15. The 1911 will always be my favorite pistol, but I have purchased several M9 pistols. While I'll never use one for a carry pistol, I enjoy shooting them, as they have been accurate and dependable pistols.
  16. I don't usually open carry, or go to Starbucks, but I'll be there wearing a NRA or IDPA hat. I'll probably carry an NRA magazine to read.
  17. If this article doesn't raise your blood pressure, read (but don't purchase) the editorial page of the Monday Commie Appeal in Memphis - "Guns and love don't mix".
  18. When I don't carry a 1911, EMP 40, or G27, a S&W 442 will disappear in a jeans pocket.
  19. I keep a duplicate permit in my safe, with my passport and birth certificate.
  20. It appears some states have taken the cowardly action of suceeding from the Union, while still choosing to receive benefits from our Federal government.

    Anyone have a EMP?

Unfortunately, I'm at the other end of the state. I've had an EMP 40 for several months and love it. It's been 100% reliable and fed any ammunition I've bought. I use it in the same holster I have for a Kimber Ultra CDP II.
