  1. I am comfortable with a glock or XD, as I am 9 or 40. Personnal preference and practice are the most important factors.
  2. Haven't been to Ams Fair. From reading this, don't see any reason to go there as I was looking for a 1911, not EBR or NFA.
  3. They're useful for training on situational awareness.
  4. 1911, K40. and 442 Gerber MKII letter opener coonhound under desk

    Accuracy?

When shooting a new pistol or developing a different reload, I use a rest to eliminate as many variables as possible.
  6. I'd never considered Wilson Combat as a lower end pistol!
  7. Welcome from memphis!
  8. The walmart I stopped at yesterday was low on stock in 9, 40, 45, and 223. so I only got a few of the 100 round boxes.

    I prefer a 5 round S&W 442. It's small and lighweight.
  10. Sportsman's Warehouse and Bass Pro are a few additional places to shop for guns and reloading supplies.
  11. The outdoor range I use requires that everyone pick up their brass other than .22. I would not appreciate anyone taking my brass without my permission. Most shooters at this range don't shoot 6.8 SPC and wouldn't have any use for the brass. If someone isn't a , guest of the shooter, they shouldn't be at the firing line. As an RSO I've had to ask that children not be allowed to be at the firing line, as they were not under proper supervision. The RSO should be courteous while seeing that the range is used in a safe manner and club rules are not violated.
  12. Take a field trip to a memphis walmart. You may want to carry a few extra magazines.
  13. It will be difficult to tell a judge you were protecting someone's life when you can't see them and possibly could have killed or wounded them by shooting thru a door. It was a stupid, irresponsible mistake, not an attempt to commit a crime.
  14. I wouldn't keep a loaded gun in the glovebox, as most vehicle owners have their registration stored there. When an officer asks for insurance and registration, it won't be good if the officer sees a gun there.
  15. 1911 or 92FS There are places worse than Memphis.
  16. For an extended emergency, gasoline probably will not be a good option as it doesn't store well. The option to use propane, natural gas, or gasoline sounds good.
  17. Sounds like a good option. I'm going to look into it.
  18. My first thought was a walmart in Memphis.
  19. Good review but I'd like to see an XD9 in the group. My XD40sc compares very well with a Glock 27 and Kahr K40.
  20. It took over 7 hours!
  21. Obama has been the best marketing tool that the gun shows could have. I wish he could do as much for the economy.
  22. A few minutes of time to send emails could make the difference in it's success.
  23. One barrel should be aimed to the rear.
  24. I don't see one of these in my safe! Is it a 1911/2 or 1911X2?
  25. That type of thought pattern has gotten me safely thru several trips to Japan and Taiwan.
