  1. I hope they don't sell reloading supplies! If they don't allow reloads, I'd shoot my WWB or UMC factory ammo, pick up my brass for reloading, and have to take my reloads to another range.
  2. I'd guess that some who turn in guns, will get robbed of their gas card and grizzly tickets a few minutes later!
  3. The EMP 40 would be my choice. However my Glock and XD have also been reliable and accurate pistols as well.
  4. Good luck on the exam! When preparing for the Extra exam, I used QRZ.com practice tests for a "few" hours.
  5. Evey class I've taken, gave completion paperwork at the end of the class.
  6. I always "need" another 1911.
  7. I had an XD40sc that became "her" gun several years ago. She hasn't bothered me about my other pistols as most are 1911.
  8. Congrats on a nice pistol. I've had mine since 2008 and haven't had any problems with it. I use Wilson Combat magazines with it and it is reliable with any ammo I've purchased or reloaded.
  9. The EMP 40 and G27 while very different pistols have become my favorite for carry.
  10. Congrats on getting your Tech license! I spent much more time listening than talking when I first started. By the time I got comfortable on VHF, I had passed the General test. AK4SZ
  11. I checked several of my holsters and all covered the trigger completely. I would have a problem with one which didn't.
  12. It would be wiser and much less expensive to go back to Minnesota and get your handguns than it would be to carry a rifle in the seat of your car in Memphis. I can picture several things happening, none of them would be good.
  13. I don't expect to see this anytime soon but it's time for each of the states to honor the HCP permits of other states in the same manner they honor a drivers license from another state. If you obey the laws of the state you are visiting, your home state permit should be satisfactory.
  14. Welcome to TGO. I'm sure you'll find the process of obtaining a permit easier than that of choosing a pistol and method of carry. Whatever your choice, practice on a regular basis.
  15. Towns like Memphis and Atlanta are needed to give other towns like Nashville, Murfreesboro and Knoxville appear to have low crime rates.
  16. A 1911 with a full magazine is more functional than a 911 call from a cell phone. What's in your pocket?
  17. Obama isn't worried about Americans being out of work. His concern is the moving van circling the White House with his name on it.
  18. Several times I've had shooters and relatives ask if I would reload for them. I've always said no, as I didn't want the potential problems that could result if an accident happened.
  19. I've had several classes at RangeUSA and the instructors have been excellent. Other than the HCP class, the number of students has been small.
  20. If he can get his money back, for a few more dollars he can get a pistol that will keep it's value.
  21. That's what I was thinking as I read it.
  22. He did accomplish teh first part of his goals. he got the attention he was seeking, but it was a high price to pay for it.
  23. His behavior accomplished the first part of his goals. He did gain the attention he was seeking, but was it worth the price?
  24. If you see Jack at the airport, tell him I said "Hi"
  25. You can find the requirements for a TN permit on at usacarry.com as well as the 38 states which honor a TN permit.
