  1. The Memphis Summer Avenue location was quick on my last visit. Previous visits were not as pleasant.
  2. I try to remember it takes alot of heat to make a fine steel.
  3. Employees of the State are paid to be polite, as are all employees who deal with the public. However we should treat them politely as well.
  4. I don't have any problems from the wife about purchasing anything other than another coonhound. The mention of getting a puppy gets the response to save enough money for a lawyer first.
  5. As the above post says, the only safe way to enter DC, is to secure your gun outside of the Beltway. As stated at www.handgunlaw.us, stopping in DC for any reason while transporting a firearm, subjects you to DC law and you can be arrested and the firearms confiscated. I had planned to to thru DC last week but decided it was best to avoid the area.
  6. I'd save the $600. Before long you'll find see a deal you can't pass up or save additional funds to purchase a more expensive gun.
  7. Yes, the gov is that messed up. I had a purchase denied about 9-10 years ago and it was cleared a few days later. During the next several purchases I worried if it would happen again.
  8. Another reason I love each of my 1911s ( and G27).
  9. My pistols from SA, Colt and Kimber are reliable and accurate guns. However they can not compare to my SA PRO or Wilson Combat. A Ford and Mercedes Benz will both get from one location to another, but they aren't equal.
  10. I have two Beretta M9 pistols and they are well made, accurate pistols. It would not be my choice for carry due to it's size, however I enjoy shooting it at the range.
  11. I had a few saltwater tanks years ago, but won't do it again untill I have backup filter systems in place. Every time a pump would fail, I'd loose the tank before I could get a replacement.
  12. I don't carry my Beretta as I haven't found a comfortable holster for it, but a full size 1911 isn't difficult to carry with a good belt.
  13. I carry everywhere it is legal. The remaining places I prefer to avoid.
  14. Would you carry an uninflated spare tire in your trunk? I treat every gun as loaded, because all of mine are.
  15. The answer might depend on where the question is asked- TN answers probably differ from CA.

After my trip to Philadelphia this week, I'm a Sam Adams fan.
  17. The gas line may have air in it if it hasn't had gas pressure in it for a long period. It shouldn't take very long to purge the air out of the line. I like to keep the gas logs functional in the event of a power outage in winter.
  18. The end result could be 2 new pistols!
  19. There are many good selections for a 1911 pistol. The TRP has been one of my favorite pistols, but I'm planning on getting a Ruger in the near future.
  20. My Kimber Ultra CDP II was frequently carried for several years. It has been a dependable, accurate and lightweight for a 45 acp pistol. After shooting several 40 caliber pistols, I decided to get an EMP 40. Although the size is similar, it weighs more than the Kimber. It has been accurate and reliable just as the Kimber is. As they fit the same holster, I often rotate carry between them.
  21. Why do some want to criminalize candidates who have earned money? Has any candidate for a federal office ever punched a time clock to earn a weekly salary? It's time to have a leader who knows how to produce instead of drain the economy.
  22. Other than my EMP 40, all of my other 1911 pistols are 45 ACP. The EMP weighs more than my Kimber Ultra CDP II and fits the same holster.
  23. Before doing business online, I always have 2 or more phone calls with the person I'm meeting before the transaction.
  24. Obama would be on another apology tour if the Marines had been there to defend the ambassador.
  25. According to the Commie Appeal in Memphis there are an average of 1000 gun related crimes each year in Memphis. Since 500 guns will no longer be killing the citizens each year, will the crime rate reflect a proportional drop?
