  1.   Would I like it, no Would I go to that range, no   Would I tell them they couldn't use the targets, no. I still believe in the Constitution and it's their first amendment right.   I don't even think if somebody had a traget of me personally on it would bother me too much. It would bother me more if it was a target of somebody else I respected.
  2. The sad part is that whatever CA does, the rest of the country seems to follow after a few years. How do you like those new fuel cans that started in CA?
  3.   I don't necessarily agree with you but I get where your coming from.   I've thought in the past that if BHO is going to destroy this country, lets go ahead and get it over with. At least that way we can get started rebuilding. Instead it's like a slow death that will take many painful years to do and we all have to live in it. It's kind of like when you have a old horse with a broken leg, you go ahead and kill him to ease the suffering.
  4. Most Muslims would never harm anyone but they will keep their mouth shut knowing their next door neighbor is planning some sort of terror act. They may publicly denonce it but they won't turn him in. Now I admit there are some crazy Christians out there (westboro baptist comes to mind) but all Christians I know will rat out anybody who is doing something stupid.   All relegions have done their fair share of killing in the past to further their cause. I couldn't care less about that now. What I care about is who wants to kill in this present age to futher their cause.
  5. The way I see it, ammo makers already can sell all they can make to the private market. I wouldn't sell them a single round.   It's not like they have warehouses full of the stuff they need to move to stay afloat. If they were on hard times I could see them making a deal with DHS but there is really no reason to unless they could sell to them a greatly inflated prices.
  6. I thought the pres, vice pres, and speaker were not suposed to be at the state of the union. Maybe I'm wrong and haven't noticed it from the other state of unions but it seems like I was told it was so if somebody set off a bomb or something it wouldn't kill them all.   To be honest if Beohner wasn't there I wouldn't loose any sleep over the others on stage. I could probably let him go as colateral damage though.
  7. I'm sure all the ammo and gun makers are running full blast. People are just buying it up faster than they can make it.   I wonder (especially the AR makers) if they are investing in much new equipment though. I'm sure they are running full blast what they have but you can understand them being reluctant to invest in more production when the guns they make could be banned in the near future.
  8. Does anybody really care that he cut up his AK? He managed to garner a crowd of all of about 2 dozen.   It actually kind of looks like he turned a perfectly legal AK into a illegal SBR from where he cut it. I can't really tell from the pic but it looks like he just cut the barrel and gas piston and not the reciever. Maybe we should press to get him charged.
  9.   I think the same way about Doug Jackson. He was the main one that got the parking lot bill going the first time and submited several pro gun bills. His distric used to be very democratic and I think the just ran as a Democrat to get elected but was pretty conservitave.
  10. "He does not foresee the day that sheriffs would be taking guns away from anyone who legally has the right to possess them."   Kind of sounds like a way out if you ask me. If they pass a law to make a firearm illegal, we won't have the legal right to possess them. So to me that means they could be coming to get our guns.
  11. Ted can get a little crazy at times but this time he did a great job.   I always wonder what they do during the commercials during interviews like this? To me, it would be very awkward sitting there with Morgan during a commercial break.
  12. ...but doesn't that effectively "ban" suppressors since you will no longer have a way to attach them?      Yes   Threaded barrels were banned in the '94 ban on certain guns. Part of the law was also banning anything that hid the muzzle flash, which suppressors do.
  13. I agree with Oh Shoot. It won't pass as written. I think even Feinstein knows this. She also knows if you throw enough crap at the wall some of it is bound to stick.   The Bill is mainly playing to her liberal voters in her district. She knows it won't pass but she can go back and tell her voters that she tried and hoping at least some of it will make it through.
  14.   True but law enforcement can make it hard on the feds by not cooperating. I venture to say that the majority of fed firearm crimes are orginally brought about by local and state police and then turned over to the feds. Without the orginal local arrest, the arrest never would have happened.
  15. Does this mean we should all send Rahm thank you letters?     I also particuarly like the "stand and fight" article in the latest issue.
  16. I've recently wondered if the government would just start denying all beckground checks for guns. Or just start dragging their feet and make it take days (if not weeks) to get a background check passed. They could blame it on the huge surge in firearm sales for the delay. They could just lay off about half of the people that do the checks (blame in on republican budget cuts) so it would take a long time to get a background check passed.   I'd make a good liberal. I can think of all kinds of ways to screw us gun owners. Most of witch I won't post in public for fear one of them may take one of my ideas. I'm sure it's nothing they haven't already thought of though.
  17. You don't have to ship them all home. You get tough on the employers that hire them and they will take care of themselves. When the jobs dry up they will go back home.   If they don't seal the boarder before they do anything the problem is going to be many times worse in a few years. When the illegals get a pass that will only make more come for the hope that they will also get a pass.   Here is the real deal- Dems see more votes if they can turn more of them into voting citizens. The reps. think that they can steal some of the hispanic votes if they go along with this mess. Personally, I don't think the reps. will gain very many votes because the illegals also want handouts that the dems like to hand out.     Unless BHO really screws things up ( He's going to really screw things up but I'm takling about something that screws the "free cheese" people), I don't see us winning a president election in the forseeable future. There's just too many "free cheese" people out there and BHO is going to appeal to more and more in his second term. I do think we still have a chance to hold good numbers in congress though
  18. These stocks are a novelty and not practical to actually shoot something with.   I'd almost be willing to bet that there's not a case where somebody was "mowed down" with one of these stocks. At worst I think you'd find where some idiot shot himself while playing with one.
  19. Don't forget about R Lee R Ermey is on our side.
  20. The last poll I saw, the NRA had a higher approval rating than BHO. I think it was something like 52% to 56%.
  21.   Yea but most of them vote for the gun grabbing democrats.
  22.   True.   Sure, the government is able to collect all kinds of info on us. They could surely see me sitting in my house while I type this if they wanted. We are still hidden though inside the massive amount of info they have. No need to bring yourself to the top of the list if you don't have to.
  23. I think it will be a plus for us if more guns are added to the ban list. I say add handguns also to the list, add them all.   The fact is the more guns that are on the ban list, the more people it pisses off. There's a bunch of gunowners that are ok with just sitting on the sidelines as far as "AWs" are concerned. You go to talking about taking away their personal firearms, they may move to action. The more guns that are added also makes the grabbers look more crazy.
  24. When I'm teaching kids how to shoot and it's time for them to move up from a .22, I move to the AR. A adjustable stock fits them better, it's light, and there is almost no added recoil over a .22.   Dispite what the MSM tells us, a .223 AR15 is a pretty low powered firearm compared to most "deer" rifles. Until recently it was deemed too small to deer hunt with in the state of TN.   The next time I hear some blowhard spouting about how powerful a AR15 round is, I wish somebody at the table would pull a .223 round and a 30-06 round (or any popular deer hunting round) out of their pocket. That should shut them up real fast or if it don't maybe some of these "hunters" will realize that they will soon be coming after their guns too.
  25. He should be fired. There's nothing wrong with him voicing his concerns behind closed doors with NRA senior management. What is unacceptable is him doing it publicly. It would be grounds for termination in just about any organization.   I'm starting to wonder who's side he's on.
