I've got a barrel that I need lightened. Tried to contact nefarious but haven't gotten a response in over a week. Really frustrating as I really like Marvin's dimpling work. So that leads me to ask you all, who do you recommend? The goal is lightening the gun but I'm not above admitting that I wouldn't mind some cool looking fluting.

Dig it. What are the updates to the gun?

Got it figured out, thanks.

Very well produced video.

Someone mind contacting me regarding issues with renewal? Can't seem to get PayPal nor stripe to work.

First thing I thought of was idiocracy. -
Mine doesn't. Every time I lose one I just go pick up another down there. I think I'm on my third now.

Pro tip: go to the pawn shops around NADC on Gallatin rd. All of the students that drop out sell their multimeters. Don't buy new before checking those places first. I should ad that the required multimeter for NADC is Fluke.

My .02. I'd go .308. But... I'd go with one of the newer smaller format offerings from mega, daniel defense, dpms g2, etc. The new Maten is something like 7 1/2 lbs. Older large format ar10's are just too big for a woods gun. If you are going to suppress the gun id have a 300 as a range toy or home defense gun. But if you aren't going to suppress and wish to hunt hogs and whitetail, while building on an ar15 reciever set, take a look at 6.8. I built my 6.8 before the newer .308's were available and it has served me very well both here and in south Texas hunting hogs and deer alike. I just don't see any advantage of a 300 blackout for hunting unless you are shooting subsonic suppressed and then you are limited in range. Not to mention .308 is available anywhere and everywhere.

I need one of those tortilla machines at my house!

I'm the opposite of most. I think I'd prefer the slide work more than the frame stippling and reshaping. I don't see much of a need for "enhancement" on a g4 glock. I do like their trigger upgrades. But I do have a question about titanium nitride coatings on barrels. Is there a benefit over nickel boron or the factory tennifer? If it's purely cosmetic, I understand that too because it looks very distinctive under the slide cuts.

I've eaten them all. Joeys is a great lunch place, just get there early. Its new York style kinda been done before, the matador is the one to order. But my favorite by far is Desano's. That place is delicious. Capricciosa has been my favorite so far.

Holy crap I just watched all that guys youtube vids. The universal self defense had me laughing like an idiot. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq0ztaCwb-A

That looks like fun!

Guess I'm the opposite. I think I'd grab a nice sig before a Glock if cost were no object. But I can see an obvious advantage in weight.

The house is already starting to smell good. The kids are waking up. The parade is on tv. All is good. We are truly thankful. God bless you all.

Fireclean users, you have been duped

After doing a bit of research, I've seen others ask the question if it is a biodegradable product, at what point (time wise) does it start to degrade? I know from being in and around restaurants that certain oils such as sesame or olive oil can spoil rather quickly. Makes me think maybe that could happen with these products as well. I for one clean my guns often enough that I've never had an issue but could it be down the road? -

That's not the only product on the market using vegetable oils. There is one produced locally that uses an oil that is claimed to be food safe. When I spoke with them about what it actually was they stated it was a commonly available product. I don't particularly have an issue with a company using a specific blend of oils that may serve a purpose that an unblended oil wouldn't otherwise. As long as there is some actual truth to the claims of lubrication and corrosion protection I don't care what it's made up of. -
I've got a 15 inch Midwest industries ssk on my 6.8 build. I've been very happy with it thus far. Had to do a slight bit of fitment to clear the adjustable has block but it was so slight you would not notice if I didn't point it out. It's very light for the length and nice and slim as the name implies.

I've seen the grooves on the lower yes but not the magazine. I agree as well about not trusting a gun for self defense that acts like that. But since it has happened in the past to me, on the guns I currently own, I won't grip them that way or use the mag as a monopod. I try to always shoot the same way so if I shoot resting the gun on the mag then if I ever "need" the gun, the tendency would be to fire it that way. I guess in my mind a screwdrivers not a chisel, a wrench is not a hammer, and the magazine isn't a gun rest.
-
I have had several rifles that will malfunction when using the mag as a rest. Also if you pull on the mag while shooting standing it will probably cause the same malfunction.I think it has to do with the mag rocking and things interfering with the carrier. As a rule, I try not to rest the gun on the mag and use a vertical grip for when shooting standing. No reason to try to induce a failure.

I've only had bad experiences. I had one and it wouldn't run right. The whole thing was out of spec. I sent it back twice and was given various reasons as to why. I received it back with what looked like dremeled out areas. It never worked right. Folow others advise and get an aluminum lower from fatboy.

The aero looks like it uses Allen's instead of a normal wrench. I think I'd go with the aero. The wrench flats always get marred up on the other style.
