  1. THIS!
  2. I have been here the whole time. HRC will most likely be elected. That will begin my long period of civil disobedience. I will no longer take the US government seriously, or look to it for any improvement... ever.
  3. LOL. My second sling is a Vickers with an MS4 adapter on it. Rigged the same as the MS4. I quit tying my slings on my rifles when I moved from .177 cal. High school kids are so irresponsible :-) Nothing wrong with the plain ole sling of you're running short on money. I have slung a rifle with a rope when I was a young un.
  4. Mine has already gone deep into public. No incidents yet.
  5. That was my first thought :-)
  6. My current favorite. Yep, I own and wear one... https://www.magpul.com/products/magpul-megablend-stupid-should-hurt-t-shirt
  7. Lots of good things can come from necking down a case. The bullet always gets faster.
  8. Sling hardware overpriced? I have one of those plain jane silent slings for my A2 rifle, just to keep it authentic. Pain in the ass, cause then the sling gets hung on other things in the safe unless I unlace it. I like to have my AR's a little more capable than just shooting wabbits. ALL my rifles, including my Fudd guns have QD hardware. The Fudd guns are all style QD.
  9. Magpul MS4. It's damn near perfect. 2 point/single point, with QD connections.
  10. I can't zero a rifle at 100 without a good rest.
  11. I just got my Dad's Remington 1950 512 after he passed away a few weeks ago. First firearm I ever shot. It's the bolt action version of what you have. I plan to shoot it some as soon as I have time. It was a user, and wasn't in great condition. Anyway, I know exactly how you feel.
  12. I agree. It was very well done. Folks have been bitching about the evolution of country music since it began. Fact is, it's about extracting money out of a market, a very tin eared market. I despise a lot of the new stuff. But, I want the industry to survive in a world that is going to make Hillary the friggin president.
  13. I have a rule. DON'T EVER turn the screws on an optic unless the gun is sitting in a solid rest. I simply add too much error trying to hold the gun. One click on an optic is tiny compared to how far I can jerk it off target. :-) Add that HEAVY Tavor trigger to the mix, and it's even worse. I was able to get one sighted in on a good rest, but it was challenging.
  14. I'm pretty sure I recall Willis had a magnifier paired with an Eotech on his Tavor when we sighted it in. Just make sure you get a mount that stays whee you want it. You don't want one that can accidentally fall into the line of sight. As I recall, the only problem may be fitting backup irons into the picture. Haven't heard anything bad about the PA magnifiers.
  15. I have spent quite a bit of time talking to those guys over the years. That place gets BUSY, with lots of really green shooter. If they don't keep it sterile, somebody will get shot. Once they know you, they lighten up. Being forced to sit at the rifle range is my only complaint. I'm betting something happened to cause it.
  16. I'm ok with the "####ty" grinds.
  17. Sure is. Looks like a hollow grind without the big hump
  18. Got it.
  19. Does it feel the same as the old one? If so, that trigger safety is more useless than most. You gotta really mean to make an LCP go bang.
  20. That might be the perfect one :). Can't see myself popping for a custom, especially one for daily carry
  21. SRHEC Is a GREAT facility. It was the busiest in the state. I have been through 3 annual memberships there. It's close, very safe, and perfect for technical work like sighting in and load eval. The RSO's are pretty strict, but for good reasons. It's newbie central. I have always gotten along with them. One beef... even bitched at Tim about it, they screened in the shooting lanes so you have to sit down. NOT fun for AR shooting since they did that. I shoot AR's mostly, so it just about ruined the place for me. I'm not upset. They have a really tough job.
  22. I like most of he grinds, including this one. The XM18 is such a great carry knife for me that I find myself trying to pick the perfect one. I will most likely wind up with one that I carry daily, and a keeper or two. Now, back to the perfect blade hair pullin' Regarding fatties... I love them. I normally carry Hinderer collab ZT knives (550, 561), and it's a small, barely noticeable difference. They are beefy anyway. Doesn't matter much to me.
  23. I got one of the Wharncliffe Fatties. Awesome knife.
  24. I like it because it's a possible solution for some women I know, including my significant other. Grippier surfaces with a striker action is what the doctor ordered.
