I've known that he has MS for years. Have chatted with him on Facebook recently, but wasn't aware of this. Jack and his wife are great folks. I'll chip in.

It's hard to tell in pics. One thing to note, I believe the 24 is scaled up in every dimension. It is bordering on "too much knife" for me. One thing is for sure. You will have a hell of a time breaking either one.

The gun salesmen need to realize that it will be a long time before they see a politician that can sell guns like Obama. I'm thinking the panics are over for a little while. The Trump guys are talking the straight NRA line.

1. No 2. No 3. Never tried a carbine buffer with rifle gas. I wouldn't without more research. I'm betting it would be fine as long as you use the right tube with the buffer There are some good rifle length stocks out there. Bear in mind that your barrel will be longer, and a rifle stock will usually help with balance.

Not saying the NRA won't push for stuff. Just saying that national legislation can be real hard to get done. When it does, it's usually hysteria driven.

I would think that it could easily get lost in the noise. Look at how hard it is to get anything done in TN with Republican control. There are a lot of folks there that are politicians first. Depends on how it get spun. But, you gotta figure that it will be a pretty small percentage of their constituents that care. So, is it worth he capital to them? Somebody is gonna have to sell it well.

I would pay the $200 reluctantly. It's the registration and all the other regulatory bull####, like not being able to carry the gun out of state

I would buy suppressors, and pay decent money for them. My holdup is the tax stamp. I refuse to put up with the unreasonable restraints. Just one more thing that needs to go away.

Brownells is never the cheapest. But, they are always top notch. AAA vendor in my book.

The middle one is a Spanto. I have a couple of the older ZT/Hinderer collabs (0550 and 0561). I still love them, but the Hinderers are just works of art. Hard to see, but that top one is an XM-24. It's a beast!

The Shilen is a hand lapped heavy profile match barrel. Mine is REAL accurate. If you are going to shoot long range, accuracy is first. If you're building a hunting gun for shorter ranges, get the light barrel. AFIK, Alexander doesn't make their own.
