  1. Some folks don't realize that if it's on a gun and has threads, it probably needs loctite. I had a scope fall off once when I was younger and dumber
  2. Yep. Big bore AR owners are pretty whacked
  3. Welcome. I have a couple of 6.5 Grendels. I like the caliber. Wish I had time to finish load development.
  4. Some folks tend to launch detents and springs. I use a utility knife blade to hold them. Haven't launched one yet.
  5. This is tough. Somewhere past my 10th build, I had just about every tool. Needless to say, I wish I had bought them all up front. Bear in mind that you will need the same tools to do some repairs. For example, if you break a bolt catch, you will need the roll pin tools to swap it out. Watch the videos and figure out what you need, and what you can live without.
  6. I would call or email Vortex. Good folks
  7. Just trying to point out the differences between Memphis and Nashville. Not trying to bash Memphis. I like that town. Spent lots of time there.
  8. This is old, but... http://memphis.areaconnect.com/crime/compare.htm?c1=Memphis&s1=TN&c2=Nashville&s2=TN
  9. If I wanna burn a dimple in somebody's forehead, I use my PD 35.
  10. I just ordered up a couple of these. I'm a big fan of the Cree lights.
  11. I have thought the scooper tanker was some great engineering since I first saw it. I'm guessing the problem is that there is never enough of them.
  12. Leroy, I'm going to my safe space now. That was harsh. You know I'm kidding.
  13. That's a plain 18 Spanto. The fatty isn't in the pick
  14. "Aggravated". They're not 8 year olds. Seems like there is lots of intent implied in the charge. But, I guess I was too hard on them. They need some time out.
  15. My 24 is growing on me, and the 18 is starting to feel a little dainty
  16. When I did my A2, you couldn't get new ones. After doing some looking, I kinda determined that an A2 is as old as you can go and still get new parts.
  17. Here's hoping that they both discover prison love at a tender young age.
  18. Nothing wrong with feeding one a turkey load. I hate coyotes.
  19. The upper receivers seem to be the only shortage. Like I said, you are welcome to this rear site kit. It's a DPMS.
  20. It was starting to thin out when I built mine, maybe 3 years ago
  21. www.model1sales.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=278 Call them for lead time
  22. I built one a few years ago. At the time, the only place I could find an A2 barrel was BCM, and then had to send it off to get the front sight/gas block installed. I have a new DPMS rear site kit if you find an upper receiver.
