  1. I have one of them. Worked well for me in most cases. Lied its butt off with .458 SOCOM. Never could figure out why. Yep, you need a tripod.
  2. Gave up whiskey and aspirin on the same night a few years ago with a GI bleed. Made the ER look like a cheap horror movie, and wound up in ICU.
  3. I think I am one of the lucky ones (with good hematologists). Platelets have been in the normal range for 4 weeks without meds. I'm hoping that's over for good.
  4. My symptoms are mild except for shortness of breath and some congestion. Can't take nsaids right now because of a bout with ITP. Anyway, I think it may be going away slowly.
  5. There are no giant leaps. I shot 100% on my permit test (nothing to brag about) with my model 59 S&W. It's the same size as the G19, and has the same capacity. I bought it in the late 70's, and wouldn't be afraid to carry it today. The CZ isn't going to be more reliable than the G19, or more accurate. Some may just like it better. A better trigger means a whole lot to some folks.
  6. A patent only lasts 17 years (in the US). I'm betting Glock can't touch them, since most Glock features have already been reduced to industry practice by several other manufacturers. Y'all may recall when Motorola owned all the flip phone patents. As soon as those patents expired, Motorola's cell phone coolness wound up in a bunch of competing phones
  7. Those bullets significantly increase the range of the 30/30. Definately needs to be kept in mind. You don't have to save money on every round to save money
  8. Well, a lot of the nurses look real young to me too. It ain't all bad
  9. But, it's accidental when an M&P "auto forwards", right. Been a long time since I had one of those guns. As I recall, it was something that just happens, and isn't a bad thing when it does.
  10. I fired back a little too quick. I missed the pain part.
  11. Well... no pistol is reliable until you run it enough to gain confidence. An accidental auto forward isn't something I would rely on without a lot if testing. But, a feature that is engineered into the gun is a whole nuther animal. So, I don't see anything wrong with using something that is designed into the feature set, and is supposed to work every time. It's similar to a bad lever, in my view. You can only get so consistent when you own striker guns, 1911's, and some wheel guns. I get it, but would probably STILL use the feature.
  12. They definately stole some of their ugly. That Hi Res picture hurt my eyes a little
  13. Got any more info on the viral respiratory illnesses? I think I'm battling that. Went around with the PACs in my doc's office yesterday.
  14. The Chargemaster keeps it pretty tight. I'm currently using the Magnetospeed chrony. I trust it more than my optical one. Seems like the numbers are even a little tighter with it.
  15. Dolomite Industries! Get some train tracks up to your back door.
  16. 9
  17. Once again, catch me
  18. Bobro mounts are great. That's what I use on my Aimpoint
  19. I like those. I have the same problem.
  20. I have done the protest thing. Rarely works. My rule these days is real simple. Catch me.
  21. 22LR to the head. He won't feel a thing.
  22. I was thinking about him yesterday. I'm betting on of the knox guys know something
  23. Piss on Obama
  24. I hate coyotes. If I get a shot, I don't care how long it takes him to die.
  25. I love KA-BARs. Have one within reach right now
