  1. Midway is outa Gold Dots. You got to be quick
  2. It's probably going to wind up being what you can get. I have gold dots, but would probably pick Hornady Critical Defense if I could get it
  3. OWB only. I'm not skinny enough for IWB
  4. Where can you get holsters for them?
  5. Yep, it's real scary. What's scarier is the fact that most of the ugliest gun control wordwide has been the result of a very few incidents. For example... One crazy guy shoots a fat politician, and now we have the Brady Bunch. We ALL have to put up with a ration of crap over that every day. I'm also not a bit concerned about YOU open carrying anywhere you choose, because I know you have plenty of sense. It ain't gonna go bad. In fact, the theater incident would have never made the news if it had been you... but it wasn't.
  6. I love Mississippi's attitude about guns, but it's doubtful that anybody will follow their lead. It was fun during the Katrina aftermath. Some of the out-of-state LEO's got a kick out of granny shooing away looters with her 12 ga. :-)
  7. And you could be right, but we ain't goinna prove it today. One thing we can COUNT on... a law will never be written that forces a property owner to accept open carry on his property, because that will infringe on his rights.
  8. I didn't bother to research Zumbo. If he's one of those guys, he needs his butt whipped. I'm against open carry in the wrong situation because it makes more signs go up, and in some cases, gives the anti's more ammo.
  9. Homos don't have the power to reach across the room and kill you. I see your point, but...
  10. Get your wallet ready. I bought the Galco Concealable pancake holster and belt. In stock at Midway I'm not a total larda$$, but I'm not skinny enough to carry IWB. Galco Concealable Belt Holster Right Hand 1911 Government Leather Black - MidwayUSA Also ordered one for my CZ P01
  11. Yep, and we're all supposed to be on the same side. Some believe that we should try to stay out of the news, and some want to turn it into a pissin' contest. We're just gonna have to see how it all shakes out.
  12. I carry everywhere that's legal. I do have to admit that most of the time it's a J frame, so it's sissy carry. I'm breaking in new leather for my 1911, and I'm going to start carrying that when practical (not sissy carry). It's a pretty rig (galco holster and belt), but I'm not gonna show it off in public.
  13. Well put. Short read... F...ing idiots
  14. I have a Desantis Nemesis for my LCP.
  15. Mac or PC doesn't matter in that world so much anymore. It did in the beginning, but a lot of final art is generated on PC's these days. Adobe Illustrator is almost universal, and it doesn't care about the OS. My buds do lots of work for the music industry. My real point was, once they cock the presses for the job, they may as well run a few. Reminds me of the time I took a 727 from Nashville to Memphis. The problem was stopping in time :-)
  16. Let me find out the money. The cost is mostly in the setup charges, so it's probably lots cheaper to print a bunch in one place and distribute (if that's an option). Can Hunley provide Illustrator files for the seperations? AFIK, my folks don't use digital presses. I think they're direct to plate. The guy I'll see tonite is responsible for their presses, so he'll know all the technical.
  17. I have some good friends in Nashville that own a printing company. Should see one of them (also a gun owner) tonite.
  18. I like brown personally, but black goes with everything. I guess it depends on how much you're gonna show it off too. All they're gonna see is the front of my belt.
  19. Me too! This is good communication.
  20. Nope. You should hire the Brady Bunch to get that law changed :-). I don't want to lose one of my guns aor my permit, so I'm not going to carry in a posted place.
  21. I have read that if it's properly posted, you're breaking the law.
  22. I took the article with a grain of salt. Read too many positive range reports from owners of most of the guns in the article. I'll never count on my LCP for much, but it's more about the hole it makes than worrying about it going bang.
  23. I put a reduced power spring kit in mine. That improved things some, especially the SA pull, but that's as far as I'm willing to go. If I was going to go for a fully tweaked action, I would send it to a reputable action guy. For me, it's not a priority. My autos are the priority
  24. You're right. The LCR is really nice if you want a DAO revolver. I'm an old fart, so I like DA/SA. The LCR is probably smoother than the DA pull on my 637, but the 637 smokes it in SA mode. I fondled a bunch of revolvers when I bought the 637. The LCR wasn't out yet, but the S&W was simply the tightest out of all the ones I've handled. I've owned several S&W revolvers, but moved to Autos in the '70's. All my handguns are autos except for the 637.
  25. Welcome. You can't carry anywhere that serves alcohol
