I have a 10/22 and a Browning SA-22. I shoot the 10/22 a lot more. The 10/22 has... 1. Probably the best removable magazine on the market 2. Great reliability. It eats everything I've fed it. 3. A ton of aftermarket stuff available. I customized mine for plinkability. Hogue stock, Volquartzen extended mag release, and Volquartzen hammer kit (for reduced trigger pull).

I have a friend with an old Model 15 revolver. It's in great shape mechanically, but needs to be refinished. I have considered trading for the gun, but won't touch it without a good finish. The Model 15 is one that I sold a long time ago, and always regretted it. What are my best options?
