Gotta go with Mike. If I had to eat the same thing for the rest of my life, it would have to be a cheeseburger. At least, i've eaten more cheeseburgers than anything else, and never burned out.

from my daily Radio Info email... Glenn Beck hauled in $32 million last year, says Forbes. Despite the fame/notoriety of his Fox TV show (recently parodied by Jon Stewart on the Daily Show), radio pays a lot more than Fox. Forbes figures that Fox News Channel paid Beck $4 million in 2009. His radio deal with Premiere netted him about $10 million. (Does that include all the endorsement commercials, etc.? Hard to tell.) Publishing makes Glenn even more lucre, and remember that Glenn sees himself at the center of busy media empire through his Mercury Radio Arts. Forbes says publishing made Beck $13 million last year. He did another $4 million from digital/online. And he banked an amazing $3 million from paid appearances. Forbes quotes Mercury president Chris Balfe – “we have 400 radio stations, we could have 500. We sold three million books last year; we could try to sell 4-5 million. We have five million (monthly unique visitors) to GlennBeck.com; we could have 10 million.”

Most Dangerous States In America (Tennessee Ranked 5th)
mikegideon replied to TMMT's topic in General Chat
I'm in a hotel in downtown Greenville, SC right now. This place is cleaner and cuter than dowtown Franklin, TN. But, as we were walking back from dinner last night, there were scattered signs of thugginess. My friend, who has lived here all his life (fairly upscale lifestyle) was talking about SWAT doing a drug raid on his street. It's everywhere. -

I hope this is good news........

Agree, but I'm not sure I disagree with this specific ruling. Comcast has a finite amount of bandwidth, and bit torrent streams eat a large chunk of it. -

Just be careful with the laser. the windage and elevation screws are threaded into cheesey pot metal, and it's easy to strip them out. Ask me how i know that :-)

BTW... there are some discussions out on the web about the difference in accuracy. I don't think it changes the accuracy at all, just a little easier to shoot accurately because of the increased sight radius.
-
I have one that started out as a 5", and I converted to a 3". Depends on what you want to do with it. I don't carry it, but i wanted the smaller size. You will get better muzzle velocity and sight radius with the longer barrel, but that wasn't important to me.

First LEO encounter while carrying
mikegideon replied to inspecting1's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Hold the phone. I made it a point to say that I disagree with excessive force. Just saying that we can encounter LEO's that are on the edge of going into defensive mode, and it's only smart to be sensitive of that. EDIT: The whole point is that they don't necessarily know that you're a law abiding citizen at the time. -
First LEO encounter while carrying
mikegideon replied to inspecting1's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Guys, this scenario was played out in that crappy state video we all had to watch. If a cop just stumbles onto a weapon, they are going to go into disarming mode, and rightfully so. That's why I'll always inform them first. Has nothing to do with what's required. I strongly disagree with unnecessary force, but... Years ago, I was stopped in Houston by a cop that had been shot at twice that day. He was extremely paranoid, and plumb full of adrenalin. Turned out, he was a nice guy and a good cop. But, if I would have pushed his buttons, I would have tasted the sidewalk and wouldn't blamed him for it. I'm not taking up for cops that step over the line. Just sayin', you don't know their current state of mind, and they don't know yours. -
Better from what I can remember, but I can't do it.
