  1. The down side of the 458 is range. Those 500 grain pills will slap the bejeesus out of something up close. I have only shot the SBR factory loads. Not sure they make them anymore. I still have a few left
  2. There was a rumor a little while back. Greg told everybody that it wasn't true. Guess he hoodwinked us. Another one of the greats gone.
  3. Oh. You're shooting supersonic. I was thinking 500 grain subsonics. I got a big sackful of those 325 FTX bullets, and have some loaded. My favorites are still the 300 grain Barnes TTSX.
  4. It has always been my theory that, if you are gonna sling a piece of lead real slow, make it a big piece. I have two calibers that do a good job at subsonic. 300 Blackout and 458 SOCOM. This looks to be about perfect, optic and all!
  5. I admire your sickness!
  6. A whole thread... http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=158376
  7. I like 45 Colt, with black powder. Makes me feel manly when I gotta scrape my gun.
  8. The 2nd is safe for now. All I'm talking about is guns, knives, whiskey, and large, spongy bagungas.
  9. We're screwed. Glad I'm old
  10. I'm not sure we were accomplishing those things. In today's society, you get to believe what you want to believe, and can always find plenty of support. Very little honest debate going on these days. More like a cage full of monkeys throwing their own poop at each other. The reality... nothing really changes. I'm just glad ammo prices are down.
  11. He doesn't need to be blowing up any guns. He doesn't have enough as it is.
  12. Maybe you should get into reloading
  13. I will discuss the rifle and specific load I would use on the terrorist. For that little turd that blew himself up in Manchester, I would use my .458 SOCOM with 300 grain TTSX solids. Get some liver slurry all over the little snowflakes that are cowering in the corner.
  14. And you are gonna have to change your handle to Petunia or something.
  15. Mine did the same today. Went over to my old laptop to change avatars. Had to log in with the old box, and then log back in with my current one. Wndows 8/Chrome and Windows 7/Chrome
  16. David and Mac haven't been real fond of the political forum for awhile. Not the first time it has almost been shot dead. I'm ok if it goes away and stays gone. I have plenty to say about guns.
  17. Now that hurt my feelings. I'm going to my safe space
  18. We share him with the zombie place
  19. WASP: White Anglo-Saxon Protestant Wasp: Bug that was born an asshole. Always deserves to die.
  20. There's a thread way back there somewhere. I killed a whole city of yellow jackets in my front flower bed. Only stung me once.
  21. Yep. Just kill them every chance we get, including our crazy white boys.
  22. We can't pull the numbers out of our butts here. And, I'm not a big chest beater for any kind of screening. Just saying that this one would have gone thru the gates.
  23. FWIW, the guy in the Manchester attack had just returned from Libya, where his parents have resided since Gaddafi got the ole machete suppository. He had also traveled to Syria. So, I would say that there was opportunity for some outside force that could have been tracked.
