If we ever get a chance to go shooting, I'll show you a few of my standard Leupolds. Like I said, even the Rifleman grade is a good scope, and it won't bust anybody's budget. +1 for the ACOG on th SCAR. It will ding your wallet, but it's real fitting for that gun.

Yep... even the yotes have figured out the gun free zone thing. There are a couple roaming my neighborhood, but I'm not going to jail over it. Hopefully, they will eat the neighbor's dog that barks all night, every night. Can't shoot him either. He has rights.

It's amazing how much trouble those Muslims give us on probably less than 1% of our budget. Of course, they don't have travel costs. I'm all about cutting waste out of defense spending. Any cuts will effect the economy though.

In traditional scopes, you can't beat Leupold. I would do two seperate optics. My favorite traditional scope is a VXII 4-12x40 with adjustable objective. It's $450 or so, and works better than my others because you can dial out paralax at any range. I have a few other Leupold 3-9x40 in other grades. Even the rifleman grade is a good scope. Those scopes may be a little big for a SCAR, but are perfect for the Browning.

They can get out any time, but they need to settle their contract with me. They sure as hell come after me if I'm $2 short on what I "owe" them. The fact that they have mismanaged their way into a pickle doesn't let them off the hook.

I haven't run the numbers. Right now, I view it as a contract with the government. I have met my obligations for decades. I'm not going to just quietly take it in the butt because they squandered the funds. If a large company has a project fail financially, they don't have the luxury of just not paying the vendors for that project. With that said, i'm sure they can legislate their way into screwing all of us. That won't change MY view of the contract. It will just change the way I deal with them in the future.

I do need to make this clear. I'm not a fan of typical unions. They do tend to bring up pay and benefit standards, and then they overreach like every other organized group on the friggin' planet.

I guess they should get on with it and see how it works out. I gave my money to the federal government. They owe it to me.

I have benefitted indirectly. Moved to a union town (St. Louis), which had better salary and benefit packages for my field. When I was recruited back to Nashville, my salary history made a difference in what I was able to negotiate here. I never belonged to the union.
