    M&P 9

Are you sworn to secrecy? he has done a great job at hitting the high spots so far.
  2. My crack is structural, and will be subject to lots of recoil. AFIK, that's how the crack got there in the first place. That's why I probably need to go heavy duty on mine.
  3. I love the way my G23 fits. It's not a huge difference from the older generations, but changed the gun from OK to great for me.
  4. +1. I have little girlie hands like Erik, so the Gen 4 Glock is the only one I have liked. I like the backstrap feature on my M&P too.

    Walther P22

I always shoot hollow points in mine. Runs fine
  6. Mine exploded 50 times last week.
  7. I have a cracked stock on an old shotgun. I have had a problem finding 30 minute expoxy from the usual places. You don't want the quick setting stuff.
  8. It is sad. I grew up around display cabinets and wall racks.

  10. Funny thing about AR-15 receivers. There are a billion brands, and only a few companies that really make them. AR Lower Receiver FAQ (56k beware) MMS, CMT, LAR, LMT compared... - AR15.COM
  11. Good whiskey
  12. Me neither. I was always afraid I would have one that would throw my ass out into the street when I got old. Sure did practice a lot though.
  13. No reason to spare the ammo if somebody really needs it.
  14. I feel that way occaisionally, and then i get over it. I'm with Jason.
  15. That A Bolt is a really nice rifle. Here's my plain jane X Bolt with the VXII scope. Bass Pro used to have a big stock of Leupold scopes, and the prices were good. I was in there a few days ago, and they appear to be back at full inventory in the gun department.
  16. Maybe it's time to kill grandpa. NOTE: Don't shoot him in the noggin. It's ineffective
  17. Welcome to the Old Fart division of TGO
  18. Yep. I enjoy just chewing the fat with him. Of course, i can say the same about the guys at D&T. Haven't been by Goodlettsville gun shop, but I'm sure that's a good experience too. We're blessed with more than our share of good gun shops in this town.
  19. The good news is that society is slowly but surely recognizing the need for personal self defense. The enemies of that are getting weaker by the year.
  20. I'm not real sure of why it's accepted in Tennessee. I'm not big on OC, because I just prefer not to be noticed. I don't know if the lawmakers planned for a bunch of open carry, or they were just protecting folks that carry concealed, and may accidentally show their gun. In either case, your main concern is probably bumping into an LEO that isn't quite up on the law when it comes to out of state permits, and winds up interrupting part of your day.
  21. I would think so. It's the law in this state. OC makes it more likely you will have to show your permit, so there may be the risk that an LEO may have a moment of confusion about it.
  22. Yep. It's good for rabbits and other small game
  23. That's a 59 in my avatar. Bought it new in the '70's. Yes, the 39 came earlier. Mine runs great, and always has. I can't recall a malfunction. The grip IS a little fat compared to the 39, but I got used to it.
  24. Well, the AR family was already an ammo slingin' bunch. Good thing you have a progressive
  25. I love that gun. Basically a single stack version of the 59 (actually the other way around).
