  1. Not that they got much more repsectful to the guy after he was no longer a threat, and he stopped running his mouth. I don't agree with the Barney Fife comment either.
  2. You're just not gonna quit until I'm forced to buy a gun just so I can run it thru your shop . Nice work! There's one in my future... just don't know when.
  3. I read it somewhere. I'll have to dig Well, my apologies. He had some 15 round mags. Don't remember where I read it now.
  4. They're deaf, as well as stupid
  5. The Virginia Tech shooting dwarfed the Tuscon shooting, and he used AWB compliant mags in a Glock 19 to do it.
  6. I don't think the guy's "rights" were violated. I'm pretty sure the cops weren't just riding around looking to start some . Can't say the same about Kwik Jr.
  7. They just need to make sure they stand behind it when they fire it.
  8. I'm sure Kwik would have received about the same treatment with his six shooter if they hadn't known who he was. Granted, the language may have been different, but that's just guys from Philly. He made it a lot worse on himself with his Kwik-like demeanor. They ran him over the coals because he was a total dick after they made contact. If I was a cop in that city, we would have received about the same from me. Rough town.
  9. We need one of those
  10. How is that? Where are the damages? Why did seasoned Philly cops detain this guy to begin with? Could it be that they NEVER see open carry around there? This guy was fishing for the whole thing. Kwik Jr.
  11. Kwik needs to head up to Philly and set those boys straight.
  12. I always come across as a naysayer when it comes to open carry. Fact is, it's totally ok in a lot of places. The trouble starts when someone carries into the wrong place, and it winds up having a negative impact on all of us.
  13. i won't even try Chantix. My doctor has suggested it more than once. I'm too pissed off, and too heavily armed to play with that drug. Besides, I think our medical profession relies too heavily on chemical fixes. You can't always count on their best judgement when it comes to the most popular drugs.
  14. I have done some serious drinking in my life, and have always owned handguns. Most of that time, it was a high capacity 9mm pistol. I didn't carry it around much, but it was always within reach when I was home. I have come to the conclusion that I will pass out way before I decide to start shooting. We hear this statement all the time, that guns and alcohol don't mix. In reality, shooting and alcohol don't mix. You're either an idiot, or you're not. Our lawmakers assume we're all idiots.
  15. Yep
  16. I agree, with anything but felt. Everybody uses felt wheels and polishing componds on action parts.
  17. My problem was really in the chamber. It was catching the brass cases. Yep. the object of the game is to smooth the surface without changing the shape of anything.
  18. \The Dremel doesn't take off hardly anything, and probably won't work for heavy tooling marks. There is a ton of stuff written on the process. Fluff and Buff
  19. Read everything you can first. Google fluff and buff. You start with the fiine grit sand paper, and finish off with the Dremel using a felt polishing tip and some compound. The bullet shaped felt tip is the best, but you can only get it by buying the Dremel polishing kit. You can usually find that at the Home Depot. It comes with the bullet tip, some felt whells, polishing compound, and some more abrasive tips that you should avoid like the plague. The light sanding should be done carefully by hand. You can really screw up if you do it wrong.
  20. Yes. I did it to accelerate the breakin. Mine would have worked itself out with use. There's nothing wrong with a properly done polish job. You can always take it to a good smith if it really needs it.
  21. +1. I had to do it on my LCP, but there was a problem. It wasn't the feed ramp. It was the chamber. I used 600 grit around a pencil, and finished it up with a Dremel felt bullet and polishing compound. EDIT: BTW... I did the feed ramp while I was at it. It had tooling marks as well.
