  1. I love 1911's, but I carry the plastic.
  2. It's not just the politicians. The general population is about 70% sheeple. We can't do ANYTHING about it as long as the majority want the gov to "keep them safe" at all costs.
  3. That's one of the main reasons the OC debate rages on. I'm pretty sure Florida law is there to prevent incidents. We have the freedom to prevent our own incidents in TN... until it causes problems.
  4. You may just need to change your racking method.
  5. Woodies are cool. A buddy of mine has had one for a couple of years. First time i've seen that color. Nice stuff!
  6. I seriously doubt that you would get popped for accidentally showing your gun. I have spent a lot of time in Florida. You have to dress light to survive. I disagree that it's not hotter than TN. Did you get a chance to chat with some LEO's? There has to be some tolerance for printing, and an occasional flash. It would be interesting to hear how they handle it. EDIT: And, I agree too. I like the freedom of our laws too. Open carry for comfort or convenience isn't a bad thing, if you are sensitive to places where it would cause a scene.
  7. What's special about the Badger base? Is it QD?
  8. You're ready to make that thing go bang! That Weaver rail looks ok.
  9. You would think that Ruger would make it clear. "All the noise of an AR, without the clarification".
  10. Wow. We used to snip the spines first thing, usually before the hook came out. I've still been poked a few times, but nothing like that. Hope she heals up with no complications.
  11. And when it does, the fans of today will be complaining that the stuff that replaces it isn't country. To the folks that peddle it, Country is just a brand. I don't like most of the current product either, but there's a big fan base out there that calls it country. Some of them will be pissed when it evolves into something else.
  12. Yep. The4 gen 4 fits me better than previous generations. The finger grooves would be real annoying if they didn't fit.
  13. Didn't you shoot my Gen 4? I had the same attitude about Glocks, and the G4 23 wound up being one of my favorite pistols.
  14. Your guns are fine. Anything else would just be a new toy.
  15. Mine is the latest generation, and is marked .223 as well. It's chambered for 5.56.
  16. That's what I've read. The .40's seem to be fine, and the 9's don't like plinking ammo. Then, there's Glock's arrogance that complicates matters. I like the recoil spring on the .40. Takes some of the snap out of it.
  17. My Gen 4 G23 runs fine. I haven't put a lot through it yet, but it's been flawless. They need to fix the 19.

    Glock AR

How are you gonna shoot yourself in the ass with one of those? What are they thinkin'?
  19. My "varmint" AR has a .223 chamber, and I did it on purpose.
  20. Some did, and THAT's the real reason Glock made changes. S&W is getiing into their wallets a little.
  21. AFIK, NO piece of electronics gets done without touching Asia in some way. Even semiconductors that are made in US foundries get packaged overseas.
  22. I think a .17 would be great. May need to use the spitzer hollow points instead of the vmax bullets.
  23. The stock rubbing the barrel may not make any difference, as fat as it is. There are other reasons to go with the B&C stock
