  1. Not totally made up. The guy had an AR in his hands. http://pimasheriff.org/files/1013/0463/5381/OIS050511.pdf
  2. He died with his safety still on What does this mean? Was he armed when SWAT came in the door? WTF was he thinking?

    Lightweight AR

Model one is OK stuff, and they get it out fast. They DO assemble after you order, but they try to get them built and shipped within two business days.
  4. I've been shooting Wolf in my AR carbines, just so all that Magpul stuff doesn't go to their heads.

    Lightweight AR

Here's another option. I have two of these light weight Shaw barrels. It's the same one that Red Jacket uses on their "Shootrite Katana" light AR. Model 1 Sales: 5.56/.223 Lightweight C.A.R Upper Note that the price of the upper doesn't include the BCG. You can add one when you configure the upper.
  6. Or... Model 1 Sales: 5.56/.223 Lightweight C.A.R. Barrel I have two of these. It will weigh about a pound less than the heavy contour for a little more money. I'll make you a helluva deal on a slightly used heavy barrel. I keep stubbing my toe on it :-)
  7. I have the Lyman. Works for me.
  8. If you read the thread over there, they all seem to be pretty impressed with themselves. I guess that's the reason for the condescending attitude from 10mm. Guess he's runnin' with the big dogs now. i was in awe just reading their crap.
  9. Commie
  10. ... and then start a butt hurt thread to boot.
  11. Yep. You just never know for sure.
  12. Yep, it's tensioned by the four screws, but you can't just loosten the screws and pull it off the rifle. The teeth of the barrel nut sit in a channel in the Omega, and the whole thing is held by the delta ring assembly.
  13. It's DD's best selling rail. Weakness is price! I'm thrilled with mine...
  14. No
  15. I have the Daniel Defense Omega on one of my rifles. It's the same weight as a regular handguard without the rail covers. It's real pricey, but I would buy it again.
  16. Doesn't look good for you (or me). I don't know who he is either. How does it feel to find out you've been doing it wrong for 40 years? Kinda bums me out
  17. This gets discussed a lot. Pinned flash hiders limit you. Personally, If I had to have a barrel shorter than 16", I would just pay for the stamp
  18. Check the linkback, folks... You have to check this S*** out!
  19. Yep, usually themselves
  20. It's one awesome rifle. I'm trying not to love it too much. I'm to the point that I need to QD mount some of my scopes so I can squeeze another one into the safe.
  21. New question for the application: "Do all your friends think you're an idiot?"
  22. Might be a can 'o worms. I've only removed one A2 sight, but the barrel was drilled for the pins. You would most likely have to go in front of the grenade launcher notch. To top it off, the front sight would wind up right in the middle of the optic's sight picture. That's why I removed the A2 sight to begin with. I agree it would look good on the rifle, if the gas block wasn't in the way. EDIT: Jeff just needs to build another with an A2 front sight and carry handle. We also need to see that little "G" on the trigger next time :-)
  23. I wouldn't count on it getting a lot easier. Sounds like to need to hit a big gun store and handle a bunch of them until you find true love. The Walther PK380 is real easy to rack, but as you probably know, the 380 ain't exactly a powerhouse round. There's something out there for you.
