  1. Just got a PM from David. The turtle has ! Should be belching fire this weekend.
  2. I'll give it a whirl. So far, the cases have gone into the sizing die with almost no effort. There's not enough force to move the shoulder. Those Hornady dies are great. An yes, RRA is great, just slower than a frozen turtle.
  3. I've actually had my hands on an RRA rifle that they did get around to shipping. Good stuff. I'm just razzing them because they're slower than White Oak, and probably aren't near as good. I'm actually not watching my mailbox every day. I know better. So, I boned up on reloading, bought all the gear, loaded 100 rounds (50 was a Tubb's kit), and have 200 rounds of brass prepped and primed for load development. Oh yeah, I built the lower, bought a scope and mount, and even lapped the rings. it will be a helluva rifle someday.
  4. A normal person would tighten their belt, and pay down their debt, NOT default on current debts. Defaulting a good way to wind up homeless, and is viewed by some as plain stoopid.
  5. If I see somebody with long hair and a metalica T shirt, you can bet your ass I'm gonna keep a close eye on my Cheetos. Just the way I am.
  6. I read as many reviews as I could find. There are 166 reviews on the RCBS on Midway's site alone. I wouldn't be scared of the Hornady, but stay away from any of the Lyman scales. They make the best trigger pull scale out there (I have one), but their powder scales suck. I owned one for a couple of hours :-)
  7. If you go out of your way to look like a thug, some folks might think you're a thug. I guess that's profiling, but not necessarily racist.
  8. I'm lucky. I have an account on an Exchange server, and my phone sync's with it. So, if I need to add a contact, I do it in Outlook and it just shows up on my phone. Been doing it that way for years. I have lost the ability to remember phone numbers. It's either lack of practice, or too much beer
  9. Sure there is... G23. 9mm is a sissy caliber :-)
  10. If they ain't in my phone, I don't call 'em. With that said, I'm really gonna miss Gopher6. All my computers, as well as my phone log into TGO automatically. I've had to reset it a couple of times lately, but it always works.
  11. May be the same manufacturer, but it's not the same unit. There's enough info out there that there's no question which one to buy. The Hornady is slower and can be less accurate (FWIW, I'm a big Hornady fan). The question was really about my odds for having problems. My Uniflow isn't going anywhere, and neither are the other scales. I just plan to do some pretty tweaky loading, so an "electric trickler" makes sense.
  12. No big deal. I like them, but not as a carry gun. I'll probably never carry mine. I'm guessing there's a story behind the hate.
  13. I'm good on handguns. Probably won't get rid of anything I have. May buy more outright, but high end 1911's aren't high on my list.
  14. Yep. Waiting for the neighborhood to replentish the cat population.
  15. OK... I went out and did some more reading on other forums. The ChargeMaster is the BEST solution for single stage rifle loading IF you want precise charge weights. That's especially true if you're using a several different weights during a session, like when doing load development ladders. They do break sometimes, but RCBS does a great job supporting them. There are some tricks, as well as a few things to avoid while using it. Ordering one from Midway today.
  16. Rock River must be good. It takes them months to build an upper. I'll have more positive comments when the months are finally up.
  17. The Frankford Arsenal scale is great, and it's only 37 bucks at Midway. Frankford Arsenal DS-750 Electronic Powder Scale 750 Grain Capacity - MidwayUSA
  18. I just used it the first time today. I'll probably hang onto it for now. They have them on the shelf at Bass Pro for a decent price. Just don't let the Lyman tempt you when you go there. Cute box, but it's a turd. Feel free to ask me how i know.
  19. Yep, I don't get it. You're fully vetted with weapons, and would be armed under normal circumstances. You would think that, after the last Ft. Hood incident, the military would realize that Gun Free Zone = Shooting Gallery. I'm thinkin' the world has just gone to hell in a hand basket.
  20. Thanks! I'm dealing with a wildcat, so there's lots of load development in my future. I'll take your advice on clearing the system. I'll probably still use the Uniflow for noise makers, if I wind up doing any of that.
  21. Well... I think he's right as well, but didn't quite have THAT reaction
