The show isn't for us to begin with. I like gun nuts, and hang out with them when I can. The show is for the general public. They ain't out to satisfy us, and probably won't.

Yep. Walmart has a nationwide policy about handgun carry... they go with the local laws. EVERBODY can find the nearest Walmart. It's a perfect proving ground.

I try to look past the stuff that the TV guys do to the show. It IS geared for mass appeal, at least as much as you can do with a gun show. We do need to realize that if it's geared strictly toward gun nuts, it will probably fail in the ratings. Anything that makes guns more popular with the general public is a good thing. I would rather see a real gun shop subjected to TV crap, than something that's even less real.

Yep. Probably will downgrade to a tropical storm before it hits. I doubt that the surge will be over a couple of feet. Still, it's going to stress test a lot of stuff.

Fridays are great. It can get pretty crowded on Saturday and Sunday. Even when it's full, it's OK as long as there isn't a waiting list.
