  1. Another +1. I have the DCAEK in mine too.
  2. You need to back him 100%, all the way to court, if necessary.
  3. Not a bad plan, if you can get away with it. I always hated Aimpoint's prices, until I finally popped for one.
  4. 14lbs 0.4oz with no mag
  5. Eotech with full cowitness makes my head hurt. Lower 1/3 isn't much better. That's why I swapped the gas block on my Eotech rifle.
  6. 7 lbs. 0.8oz with no mag
  7. 6lbs 14.8oz with no mag
  8. I have been watching these since they were announced. I figured they would find a relatively small void and fill it. My guess is they they already have enough projected sales to justify releasing the product. I'll probably get one just for giggle effect, once the price settles in.
  9. Reloader's Bench in Mt' Juliet, and Bass Pro at Opry Mills. Bass Pro keeps the primers behind the gun counter, but powder, bullets, and brass are out on the floor.

    Remington 700

They're kinda priced like Chinese scopes too. I have a Rifleman on my 30/30, and it's real OK. My other Leupolds are Gold Ring.
  11. Yeah, I'm OK with the look. I doubt that I'll order any unless I hear some serious raving about the feel. I kinda doubt that. I have magpul guards on all my rifles, and got no complaints with them.
  12. I like the look.

    Remington 700

I like my 700, but I LOVE my X Bolt. Browning rifles are great.
  14. My .243 is a Browning X bolt, and my .270 is a rem 700. Both group about the same. The .270 just has a little more smack.
  15. Don't overlook the good old .270 Winchester. I have a .243 and a .270. I'm like Caster... I like faster and flatter.
  16. You're right about the number. I was basing my opinion on what I've heard in the news. There has been a large number of shootings, larger than I thought. The guy taking a morning walk is outside the profile of the "average" school shooting, but I do understand the level of paranoia a little better.

    Remington 700

Do it. You can't go wrong with a 700, and you can't go wrong with a .308. Remington has built a gazillion of those rifles. I have one in .270, and love it.
  18. Well, we probably are armchair quarterbacking this. We weren't there to see it, but a false alarm IS a false alarm. Was there anything really threatening, or was it all over-reaction. I'm just tired of seeing folks running for cover somewhere every day. The guy was in a place where a significant part of the polulation is allowed to do just what he was doing. Either the law is written wrong, or the reaction was wrong. Like I said earlier, if he would have stepped on school property, it would have been an immediate game changer.
  19. I agree. We "catch" a lot of folks these days, but we suck at catching the bad guys. In fact, I'm hoping we at least catch one more of the shoe bombers.
  20. I thought you were talking about posters. Anyway, doesn't seem to matter that the guy was legal. Just matters that it was an excuse to go into red alert tactical panic mode.
  21. Not so sure it's relavent tho. I'm thinking this could have just as easily happened in Kentucky.
  22. I have a little consumer debt for gun stuff. It's one of those bills that HAS to be paid . I'm not married. So, even thought I share a household with my girlfriend, we kinda have our own money. Same battles, different rules.
  23. This has been going on at concert venues for years. You don't have to let them search your stuff, and they don't have to let you in. It's not a forced search.
  24. It looks like the language has NOT changed. Good question for a lawyer.
