    New Rifle!

    Good choice!
  2. I don't know... there's something liberating about shooting a 12 gauge in your underwear.
  3. Hard to beat this... Competition Range Bag or this... Compact Competition Range Bag
  4. I would personally go for the Winchester, but he may just want a .22. Got no opinions there.
  5. I did a LOT of looking before I bought my RCBS scales. It's easy to get a bad one. I use an RCBS Chargemaster for everything, but would be using a powder drop if I was going for volume. Before the Chargemaster, I was using a Uniflow, and checking with the Rangemaster. Probably the best resource is the reviews on the Midway site. Even the best scales can be hit or miss, because the load cells are delicate. I bought a Lyman that didn't work at all.
  6. I have an RCBS Rangemaster 750 that works real well. You may want to check out that one.
  7. It may tumble the lube off the bullets. I would leave them in the minimum amount of time.
  8. The plain old rock and a Caldwell rear bag works fine for me. Even works Ok shooting long range. The Rock BR is a pretty good rest for shooting way past where a .22 will go. It's real heavy. I have a lead sled DFT as well, but never use it unless I need serious recoil reduction.
  9. Yeah... there's an agenda that they just don't talk about. Don't want some renegade messing up the real plan.
  10. Yep. All the bad information would drive me crazy if I let it. It's a huge part of the REAL problem. Everbody is buried in so much noise that it's impossible for the masses to make the right voting decisions. Look at how the polls swing. If anything gets fixed in our government, it will be nothing but pure luck.
  11. I noticed the paint job, but thought you bought the stock that way. Good job!
  12. I'm not saying it's right. I'm saying that digging up old dirt is politics as usual. One side isn't worse than the other.
  13. Ah, didn't look at the date. I thought a little over an inch was pretty good. I would be happy with 2". Well, not really
  14. Whut?
  15. A 22 dasher holds the record for smallest 600 yard group. I'm guessing the 6 does real well too. Tennessee Tack-Driver
  16. They're not one hole groups if you move the target back some.
  17. Dang. It was foggy. I thought it was a 22 dasher.
  18. There's one in my future. Not sure if it will be a 6br.
  19. And here's the good news... If the gun is in the console, SHE has to go in and get the beer. If you go, she runs the risk of going to prison. I'm going to try that one real soon.
  20. I don't think there's a problem unless they have the gun in their hands. Somebody will be along with a better answer. Leaving them in the car by themselves with the gun in the console is probably a different story.
  21. Very nice. I guess you've already noticed that the Magpul "recoil pad" might as well be made out of concrete. Mine is giving me a Magpul tatoo... the hard way.
  22. There IS something to that. Dinging the crown can kill the accracy, not that my 10/22 has a lot to begin with. I would tend to baby an aftermarket barrel.
  23. I saw that. Yep, Tex has made it into the Dumbass Hall of Fame.
  24. You will never regret buying a good safe. You'll also never regret buying from the Safe House. It was a tough purchase for me, spending that much money on a box for my guns. I was extremely happy with my purchase, and still am. I have a big old box in my house, but get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I look at the Browning logo. Use their delivery service too. It's also not cheap, but is as close to perfect as anything I've seen. Not one scratch on the house, the safe, or me. It was worth every penny.
